Not the best hostel we've stayed in. Only stayed one night. The room was ok but the sheets were dirty. The bathroom sink was hanging off the wall. Staff were friendly enough but its not a great location, about 15 mins walk to the centre and up a load of stairs. Would be ok if the price were less but not worth 700 baht. OK, everyone seemed to give this place a poor review on this which I thought was a bit unfair after being there! It's cheap, the guys on front desk are really chirpy, room was cleanish, and whilst i was there they were doing there best to make improvements, overall I had a great stay and didnt feel as if i'd been robbed!! The place really did seem to be getting better day by day, eg. communal area with TV, new mosquito nets on windows, a breakfast menu etc. Plus dorm room was nicOK, everyone seemed to give this place a poor review on this which I thought was a bit unfair after being there! The dirtiest place Ive seen in a long time. Mouldy matress and very bad smell. You can push in the locked door by hand, because the strikerplate was loose. one of the furthest places on the island but still not terrible location wise. The hotel was very nice, clean and had a good view. There was English staff which was very helpful. For the price this hotel is very resonable and I will be staying here again next year.
