Not much else in Dubai to choose from for budget travellers. Washing machine in room was an extremely welcome surprise. Don't buy their food, there's a great supermarket 2 min walk away. Just be sure to find out which golden sands you're staying at because there is ten of them and the taxi drivers will want to know which one when dropping you off. Fortunately they are all placed close together if you can't find out exactly which one before you arrive.Not much else in Dubai to choose from for budget travellers. Very, very good for the price! Room was clean and spacious, location was good close to one of the few metro stops open right now, which saved on taxi fares to Mall of the Emirates! More for business types or families, although if you want some me-time and spoil yourself, this is the place to do it!!!Very, very good for the price! The rooms are good, and it's reasonably well located on the city. I like the place for it's location near to the airport and downtown. The tower I stayed in, Golden Sands 5, is near to a supermarket - very convenient. The room comes with a kitchenette and washing machine - very good! No major complaints except that the carpark entrance to Golden Sands is a bit hard to find and we keep looping to find the way in.
