The rooms are good, and it's reasonably well located on the city. They lost my reservation two times and the staff was not the best to deal with... but otherelse, its quite good for the price...

I like the place for it's location near to the airport and downtown. The tower I stayed in, Golden Sands 5, is near to a supermarket - very convenient. The room comes with a kitchenette and washing machine - very good! No major complaints except that the carpark entrance to Golden Sands is a bit hard to find and we keep looping to find the way in. Other than that, it is a pleasant stay for me.

Ideal - the apartments were cosy and homely and have everything you need. The location is excellent, but here's a sneaky word of advice - go round to the 4 Points Sheraton lobby (at the end of the street) to get the free shuttle to the Dubai Mall - from there you can free shuttles just about everywhere. The Sheraton also has a bar which has decent happy hour and lunchtime offers. If I go back to Dubai, I'll be staying at Golden Sands. Very good value and has more facilities than expected!

Our room was amazing! Full kitchen facilities, washing machine & dryer, full sized fridge, bath, shower, tea and coffee, flat screen tv, even a separate lounge room with coffee table and private balconey! The hotel has a pool area & if you have been roughing it for a while this hotel will be luxury! Onyl feedback would be its not very social, so if travelling alone you probably might feel a bit lonely. Can't believe this is considered a hostel, more like a 4 star hotel!
