Golden Takeo is easily the best guesthouse in Siem Reap. :D Staff are amazing, rooms are exceptionally clean and Prom will always go out of his way to help anyone. It's my second home.

I would say this is a pretty decent hostel and you get what you pay for. Overall, I was happy with my stay there. The owners are helpful enough and the rooftop where you take your breakfast is lovely and wonderful to have a beer in the evening when it is breezy. For a good meal, five steps in front of the hostel is a restaurant belonging to another hotel which serves good reasonably priced food so you do not have to go out too far in town for dinner etc. Internet available and bicycles for hire

We stayed at the Golden Takeo from 10-14 May 2012 and was extremely satisfied with the guesthouse. It is placed a little bit out of the city centre which can be reached on bike in five minutes (you can use the guesthouse's bikes free of charge - even to go to Angkor Wat) The staff is very helpfull and there is even a tuk-tuk driver in house who can take you around the temples for 12 dolllars - don't miss the sunrise!

The fish spa was great, and it was nice to have someone at the desk 24/7. It would be nice to have a bigger sign from the main road, so the place is easier to find, and maybe a few more lights outside - but it was a really great place overall! Especially since the staff was so helpful - they helped us book everything, and even gave us a take-away breakfast on the morning we left (since our bus left before the kitchen opened).

After a few attemps at getting ripped off on our way from Bangkok to Siem Reap, arriving at Golden Takeo´s was the best thing that could ever happen to us. Clean rooms and a nice atmosphere, but the most important part of it: what a lovely and friendly staff! They were always ready to give any information we wanted about tours, prices and Cambodia! I super recommend this really welcoming family business! The restaurant offers good food for a really good price! Best hotel sheets&pillows in Asia!

Although our tuk tuk driver told us that Golden TaKeo had closed 2 months ago, we were relieved to find the guest house clean and available for our 3 nights in Siem Reap. The room was very clean, air conditioning/hot shower/wi-fi worked fine, the free fish massage was a nice experience.

Golden Takeo was a great guesthouse! The staff are all super friendly, welcoming and on hand to help with anything at all times. The place is extremely clean and the beds and pillows are the best I've slept on in SEA!!! We didn't want to leave after our 2 nights stay. I would definitely recommend Golden Takeo to anyone visiting Siem Reap. Also, you can book your onward journey here to other parts of Cambodia and also to Thailand or to Vietnam.

Lovely place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff. Just a little away from the main buzz of town so great if you want a little peace and quiet.
