Excellent free breakfast, great information about tours and nice location, just slightly outside the old quarter.

Nice small hotel very close to the old quartier. Rooms simple but clean. Good value for money (14 usd per night). No lift in the hotel, so be prepared to take your bags till the 4th floor on a very narrow steps. They bring breakfast to your room that it is an omelette with bread and coffee (same every day). Staff were nice and helpfull they remember my name since the first day. They offered me halong bay and other excursions with them. However I found them much cheaper outside.

The staff here make up for dirty, less than appealing rooms. Paint is peeling, sheets were not clean and the comb in the bathroom had hair in it still. BUT do use Golden Time for bookings!!! Ammy handled our tours and transport to and from Sapa, Ha Long Bay and Sapa fast and efficiently! Next time, we won't stay here but we'll definitely use them for more bookings!

We arrived early, around 7am in the morning after getting off a night bus. The staff was so accommodating and let us take a different room to rest in before our room was ready. They even provided us for breakfast for the day! The room itself was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but OK.

Best hostel we've stayed in in a long time -great location (less than 5 minutes to the lake) but a quieter area than some hostels, which suited us as we used Golden Time as a "base camp" between trips to Sapa and Halong Bay etc. Extremely friendly and helpful staff - always greeted us by name which was a nice touch and constantly gave us free water and fruit. Organised tours etc through them too for a great price. Beds comfy, showers hot, breakfast in room is delicious. Couldn't recommend more!

Clean, well-run hostel a stone's throw from the old town and Hoan Kiem lake in Hanoi. We had a very big, clean room that was cleaned daily. The proprietor was excellent and helped u organised tours and onward travel. Only negative point was the driver who picked us up from the airport (for $15), who drove like a complete maniac (even by Vietnamese standards) to the extent that we didn't feel safe in his car. Also the hostel is on a busy road, but so is the rest of Hanoi! Great hostel overall.

The staff quickly moved us to another hotel when the plumbing stopped working. This was greatly appreciated.

Loved it, loved everything about it! Great location, staff are so nice, great price, so clean, so beautiful. So close to everything. Literally WORST part is that in the bathroom, the sink is kinda of slippery so it's hard to make your soap stay in one place and not fall into the bowl of the sink. That's the worst thing I have to say about the Golden Time Hostel. 11/10, stay here!!

Nice little guest house, very cheap for what you get. When we arrived we were given the choice between the double room we booked and a twin room (I think 2 females confused them a little but they very friendly about it), but the twin room was much larger so we really appreciated the offer. Satellite TV and breakfast in your room was great for a lazy morning before catching the night bus.

We had a wonderful stay at Golden Time Hostel. All staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of their way to offer advice, give directions and book tours and tickets for us. They also gave us fruit on a regular basis and water every time we went out. We stayed in two different rooms, both of which were clean and spacious. Breakfast was brought to our room each morning and was simple but yummy and filling. Thank you!

Brilliant hostel. Rooms look like they do in the pictures, and the staff bend over backwards to help you at every possible opportunity. Prices is beyond cheap for what you get, including breakfast brought to your room, and loads of helpful advise. A definite worth while stop over in Hanoi.

Wonderful place Very friendly and helpful staff. More like a hotel than a hostel. Great room for a great price.

Stayed two nights and I really recommend the Hotel.

Best hostel I stayed in Vietnam, Ami in reception was fantastic booked all our tours, which were amazing and at a very good price. Also she booked our bus and let us use a spare room after we booked out to have shower before our bus in the afternoon.
