The Service and advice on local activities was excellent. The rooms clean and cosy, free Wifi and a tasty little breakfast everymoring when i woke up!:)T This will be my first stop when i come back to Hanoi! I definetely reccomend this Hostel, its great!

Tony and Lan are very friendly staff with decent command of english. The strong A/C and thick comforter were awesome. You may have to walk quite a bit of stairs if you are looking for a bigger room. The staffs helped us to arrange for our HaLong Bay trip, SaPa trip and taxi to and fro the airport.

Please do wash the window curtains and get the bedspread and pillow covers with better laundry to remove the stains. Need to increase the speed of wifi and avoid disconnections.

I had a very nice stay at Golden Times in Hanoi. The rooms were large, the beds comfortable and the staff very kind and helpful. It is located close to Hoan Kiem lake and the old quarters, while not in the middle of it. I found it relaxing being able to walk back from the buzz to the hotel or sitting reading by the lake at night. It was possible to leave your bag in the reception when going out at night, which was a great comfort if new in a large city as Hanoi. All in all a very agreable stay!

When we got to the hostel, we were told that they were full and we were moved to a two star hotel, King Ly Hotel, for the same price as we would have paid for the Hostel. King Ly Hotel was magnificent, especially for the price of $22 a night per room. It was a clean, huge room with a nice and clean bathroom, wifi, tv, aircon and fridge. Fantastic for us. We never got to see Golden Time hostel, but the service and the new room they provided was great.

Accommodation has been one of the highlights of our time in Vietnam, & we place our time at the Golden Time Hostel at the top of our list. We arrived very early in the morning on our first day in Hanoi, well before the normal check-in time. Unlike most places, this wasn't a problem for Tony & crew who had a room ready for us & were more than happy to cook us a delicious breakfast before we went up. Regularly cleaned rooms, powerful AC, friendly staff & fast WIFI. What more could you need?!

We stayed a few nights at the Golden Time, We arrived at about 6.30am. This was not a problem for them. We advised them of our arrival time and Tony said he would open especially for us and he did, We were able to get a room on the 2nd floor. It was great. Clean, good hot water, good wifi, the usual hard bed. They arranged a couple of tours for us and a bus ticket to Nanning China and went to a great deal of trouble to ensure we made it on time. I would certainly stay there again.

Loved this place. A quick walk to the hustle and bustle of the old city without touristy inundation. Close to lake, French quarter, etc. Booked a cruise with them (Ha Long Dolphin) that was good. Great staff.

Had an excellent stay Tony and his staff were all very friendly and alw wanting to help - breakfast of traditional soups were superb. The bed was very comfortable and the room kept very clean. Very close to old quarter and all other sites around Hoan Kiem district. Not right in the hub of the quarter so always had a good sleep. Great stay and a fantastic price so would definately come back.

My experience in Golden Time Hostel was absolutely incredible. The staff is the best staff I never met in my life. Even we have the room booked for three weeks later than our arrival to Hanoi, the gave as breackfast and the possibility to take a shower two times before the booking dates. Tony and the rest of the staff treated as in the best possible way. I can only say thank you very much to all the people that worked there, because when we arrived there 3 weeks later, we felt as we arrived home

My first choice the Koto-Hostel failed in so many things that I decided on spot to change the hostel immedialety. It was the best idea to go to the Golden Time Hostel. A warm welcome, feeling good from the begining. Nice and spacious rooms. The hostel itself is quiet although it is at a busy road. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is not far from Oldtown-Hanoi and the Haan Kiem-Lake or other mainattractions. It's just a few minutes-walk.

We were transferred to a sister hotel upon arrival. The other hotel was excellent, but we would have liked a better communication ahead of time. Other than that it was GREAT.

I stayed here both times I was in Hanoi this past month, for a total of 9 nights. While it lacks some of the amenities of the more posh hotels (mini-fridge, kettle, hair dryer, worthwhile breakfast), its simple rooms are imaculately maintained, with flat screen TVs and powerful A/Cs. There is some street noise (more on the higher levels), but its central location near both Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter make it a perfect spot from which to base your exploration of the city. Incredible value.

Exellent value for money. Everything worked and the room was clean. Special points to the staff, for they were very helpfull and friendly. Location is bit off the packpackker center which either a good or bad thing, i thought it was a good thing. the lobby is small and lacks social area so not a place to meet other travellers.

We really liked a lot staying at Golden Time Hostel. The stuff (espesially Toni) is very friendly and helpfull. They also offer tours for example to Ha Long Bay or to Sapa, but are not unkind if you don`t book in the Hotel. The Hotel is located at a mainstreet near to the Hoan-Kiem-Lake. Walking distance to the old quarters is about 7 minutes. We liked to walk home in the evening, to calm a littel bit down from the old quarter.Breakfast is also inkluded in the price.I really recommend this Hostel
