Great place to stay definitely the best backpackers we stayed in during the whole trip. Very comfy beds, security was fine as long as you remember to lock your door. Breakfast was fine, really good common room area with TV and playstation and pool table. Just really good for the money it cost. Perfect location right in the backpackers district and incredibly friendly staff. Would stay here again without hesitation :)

An absolutely great place. The location is terrific as you are maybe a 5 minute walk from the lake and the shopping/food area. I was greeted by Tony who offered me tea and a whole watermelon (for no extra charge, just to be nice) as they were cleaning my room. This place was amazing and if I ever go back to Hanoi, this is where I am staying. I would also like to mention that my room even had a sofa in it. A terrific place.

enjoyed our stay.we were able to arrange airport pickup with the hotel, for a fee, as we arrived late at night. employees are very kind and helpful, maybe a bit difficult to understand at times but not bad.We stayed in 2 different rooms during our stay before and after our Halong Bay Tour ( which we also booked through the hotel, good value for the money.Boat was the Cristina, $90/per.) both rooms were spacious and clean. Hotel is walking distance to good sights.10 min walk to Bars/Bia Hoi St.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great place. My only downside is that the sheets and pillows were dirty with stains on them.

I picked this hostel based on reviews and I was not disappointed. The staff on reception are friendly, knowledgeable and are always happy to see you and find out what you did during the day. I booked a trip to Ha Long bay here and was relieved to find that out of the 15 people on the boat, I paid the least! Alice, Tony and Michael are great hosts and were so laid back. I lost my bank card and they were very helpful and understanding. Didn't even mind that I didn't pay them straight away!

Possibly one of the best places I ever stayed in. The rooms are big and really confortable, they're cleaned everyday and they even delivered the breakfast at the room. The staff is amazing and really helpfull, though sometimes is difficult to understand them completly because of their accent, but I think that's our problem not theirs :P

Stayed here for 2 nights and really really enjoyed our stay here! The staff are so nice and polite! They really go out of their way to make sure you are happy. We were given tea and the breakfast (free) Was really nice! They were very helpful and gave us a map telling us where to go and were very good At answering any of our questions. Defintley stay here if you're visiting hanoi even if you're not on a budget. Was a shame we had to leave!

Golden Time Hostel is a great place to base yourself in Hanoi. The best thing about the place is the staff - Alice, Tony and Michael are all incredibly knowledgeable about the best things to do in Hanoi and are honest about the things you can miss! They treat you as a family member, giving you restaurant advice, saving you from getting ripped off and every time you walk through the door they are eager to know about how your day was and are constantly offering you a fresh tea of coffee!

Loved this place!! There was three of us in our party and we actually stayed here twice between Ha Long Bay we loved it so much. Location was perfect, 3 minute walk to the lake and you can get anywhere you want in the Old Quarter and French Quarter within 15. The staff were AMAZING. Alice who works daytime in reception was completely gorgeous and looked after us like we were family. And they bring your breakfast to your room in the morning! And tea and coffee anytime you want at no cost. A must!

We stayed there 4 nights and the staff was very friendly and always ready to help you, especially Tony and Alice. We had lots of fun with them. The room was really clean. We had 2 different rooms during our stay. The 1st one was on the 3rd floor and was really good but the last one (only for one night so it was ok) was on the 1st floor so it was really noisy, we could hear people talking at the reception and the street. This place is really good.

A nice little hostel, far enough from the hustle and bustle to relax, but only 10 min walk to get to the thick if it. Beautiful lake only 5 mins away. What makes this hostel is the staff. They are nothing short of Brilliant. Polite, professional, friendly, impartial. Very special people. Room is nicely decorated but not 100% clean and very small bathroom. Absolutely fine though and would recommend if on a tight budget.
