This hostel was great to stay for a couple of days in Iquitos. They have a pool out back, and a fan in every room, which comes in really handy since its very hot and humid. Around 8 blocks from the city centre, its better to take a mototaxi than walk in the heat though.
Very friendly folks. They really took the time to answer any questions and would chat about anything you needed. Great value, very clean.

Good basic room. Bathroom was kept clean. Only minor complaint is we were covered in lint from the bedsheets.
Bed was clean. Room was good for price.

It has a small swimming pool, which in Iquitos is really usefull!! Very friendly staff. Simple and old building, but clean. Not very close from the center, but not far (7-8 minutes walking). Good value for money!
IT HAS A POOL!!! The pool makes the hostel, so good for a dip in the afternoon. Dorms ok, has a fan. A boy billy in the hostel spoke very good English and seemed to be always there. Hostels a good place to chill. Took a motokar from the airport cost 8s. Took the local bus back from outside the hostel cost 1s took 30mins. 2 day amazon tour cost 200s and was really good, all the tour companies should go down to that price or less if there is a group of you. Amazon tour was amazing...a must do!!
Golondrinas offers an experience equal to home-staying. The excellent staff contribute to a very warming welcome backpackers need while reaching Iquitos and preparing to continue their journey to the jungle. The pool for sure gives the certainty that is the place to stay.
Great value for money and a nice little place to stay in Iquitos. I was only passing though so can't speak for the location but seemed pretty central. The owner and staff were really friendly and helpful but had little or no english (except for one guy who happened to be there when i checked in) - that seems to be the norm in Peru, so brush up on your spanish!! Would recommend Golondrinas for budget stay
Probably the best cheap place to stay in iquitos
Pool. Did I say pool? Don't go to Iquitos without a pool. The pool here is great, and the young guy and the lady running the show are lovely, and the place is well cheap. Just go there.
