Excellent staff will help you with everything. Rooms maybe not the most beautiful but clean. Close to everywhere. Worth trying!

The Gongkaew Guesthouse is a nice place to stay in Chiang Mai. Although it's very cheap, it's clean and you have everything you need: bikes for rent, hot shower, internet, travel booking, air condition... I would definetely come back again!

I really liked staying at this guesthouse. The staffs were really patience when I asked so many questions as this was my first time travelling. I really like the communal area with various types seating and desktops.

We stayed 2 nights at Gongkaew Chiangmai Home and we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are nice, clean and we especially liked the green, quiet and open hangout area because it is the perfect place to relax after a loud and hot day in Chiang Mai. And the best thing was the really friendly and helpful staff! :) :)

Very friendly and helpful owners. Rooms were very clean and cleaned each day as well. We enjoyed the grounds even though we were right in the old city; it made all the difference to be able to sit outdoors and relax. We were impressed that the cost was low for the value received. Our AC worked very well. The only change I would make is for fresh coffee to be available each morning with breakfast. The only coffee available was instant coffee. Nice place!

Great vibe, clean, friendly staff, free breakfast all day ( toast and jam and tea and coffee) about 20-30 walk to main market and bars. Just rent a bicycle.

The staff here are so friendly and helpful, whether organising trips for you, or just giving directions. A lovely environment in which to stay, or even just to relax, read, and plan your next trip from the comfort of the many lazy chairs, or hammocks! I have stayed here twice now and would not hesitate to stay there again if I come back to Chiang Mai...

I really liked the character of the hostel. The trees, flowers, and water fountain made the atmosphere very relaxing and enjoyable. It was unfortunate that the activities at the school next door were sometimes loud during the day. It slightly took away from the peacefulness of the hostel. Loved the service and friendliness of the staff. And the security was good. I felt safe.

excellent facilities at a well managed hostel .the sitting lounge is especially welcoming and chill out. I loved the way it is furnished. common toilets are well cleaned every morning . will stay again next time. the staff is friendly and non intrusive. seems away from the hub, but I liked the quite neighborhood and eating places are not far. and u can walk a bit to city center. beware of mosquitos though in the night if sitting out - wear full sleeves and pants !! Great place to stay in Chiangmai if you want a couple of nights away from it all. Walking distance to the bars is also good to when saving money. Great staff who held my bag for a couple of days whilst I went to Pai and lovely warm showers!

The location allowed us to walk everywhere we wanted to visit within the city, extremely convenient. The staff were amazing and were always willing to recommend day trips and restaurants. A really, really great place to stay in Chiang Mai!
