Fantastic location! It's just that during our visit, there were so many renovations in the city and this hostel is located right beside one of the renovations. So, it did bring some sense of insecurity but overall it was a great stay! I LOVE THE NEW BED!!! =)

Nice helpful Staff, unfortunately all of Kazan is under construction at the moment and both neighbouring buildings were being heavily refurbished so building noise was pretty noisey and there was brick dust EVERYWHERE, we stupidly left the window open a crack and woke up covered in it! Bar this minor problem Gorky hostel was pretty good and is easily accessible and well located.

Really great hostel. Very clean and very spacious. Perfect location right in the middle of the city. The staff are very kind and willing to help you with anything you need to know. My credit card got damaged while i was in Kazan and the staff let me stay and helped me sort out delivery of an emergency one. Very kind.

My friend and I stayed in a twin room - it was rather small and we found lots of bugs around the window. The beds however were clean. We could not use the bathroom directly opposite our room because the locks were broken. The other bathroom had a broken toilet seat and smelt bad because it was not cleaned for over two days (although it was a national holiday on one of these days). There were some good facilities though - a big kitchen (free tea/coffee) and large living area.

The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful.

The staff was absolutely excellent and interacted a lot with us guests and gave us good advice. We were without water for about a day because they were switching pipes, but

While we stayed here the water was off for part of the time and the remaining time the pressure was very low and it was difficult to take a shower even in the evening or early morning. The staff was very apologetic about the situation, however and seemed to be doing their best to get the situation under control.

we had the mixed room for 6 people,,,but its very little space,,compared with the room we had in St peterburg....and the price is 20% expensive.....the kitchen there is gd....the location is soso,but kazan is not a big city....

More English signs! Good staff and very nice location close to the Kremlin.
