Flagstaff is a beautiful town. My experience here was great and it was made perfect by staff at the Grand Canyon Hostel. Their hospitality was unwavering and their energy inspiring.
Nice staff, nice guests, great location and good value for money. I enjoyed my stay at the hostel in Flagstaff.
The hostel had a very home-y vibe with two living room areas and kitchen access. The location was nice-- near the downtown area with lots of restaurants within walking distance. The only thing missing were lockers, but the rooms had locks on them so it wasn't really a big deal.
Staff were fun and helpful, rooms were nice and warm and beds were comfy. Would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Flagstaff.
The staff was really helpful. We booked for 6 people but another guy joined the trip. Since the hostel was full the staff helped accommodate that friend in another hostel. The hostel was nice and clean and the wifi provided was decent.
Great staff. Great location. Comfortable . The hostel itself is older and in need of upgrades .
Overall a great experience. Nice and helpful staff, especially Alison.
This was my first time staying in a hostel and it was great! The staff were very helpful and the location was perfect! Some of the guests ignored the after 11 quiet curfew, and I was woken up around 2 or 3am. Otherwise, great stay! Would come here every time I visit flagstaff.
A very good hostel located centrally in Flagstaff. Facilities were good and beds were comfy.
It's perfectly located, one block away from Amtrak station, it's warm, there's TV, kitchen, wifi.. pretty much all you need. Not very clean, and with some things that need to be changed, but overall it's a good deal for what you pay.
This is my first hostel experience and I was alarmed when the drinking, shouting and bad guitar playing went on until about 3 am our first night . However, the second and third nights were peaceful and quiet. Maybe the chaos was related to that night being Thanksgiving night. Anyway, I'd do it again. My daughter also and she has stayed at many hostels
I can't really fault the hostel, save for the fact that there was limited social space and ants in one of the shower rooms. Beds were comfortable, showers were, save for the above, excellent as were the rest of the facilities. Being close to the Amtrak station was very convenient. I would highly recommend this hostel.
Great place to stay, friendly travelers and staff. Take the hostel tour to the Grand Canyon! it was the best and hostel tour guides fun, kind and helpful! I will be happy to visit this hostel again and would recommend it to others. Thanks!
The best thing about this hostel is that it is so close to the town centre and there are loads of bars and places to get food. Would stay again
Hostel well located for access to the greyhound bus terminal and train terminal. Also a number of very nice cafes in local area. Only drawback is the closest supermarket is some distance. Rooms were OK and the staff quite friendly but also quite busy during the day leaving the front desk unmanned. Would stay here again though as hostel easily good enough.
Well, hard to say what was more challenging - the live band playing across the street until the bar closed, the trains blasting by repeatedly through the night 2 blocks away, or the squealing drunk coeds endlessly reliving ( at max volume) their close brush with the train on the street below. No sleep here. Torturously NO SLEEP. Staff very nice, everything else as expected but absolutely impossible to sleep. I paid for 2 nights and agonized through 1 before leaving before dawn. Bummer!!
Appreciated the linens and towels! Staff was excellent. Wish parking was better.
Don't misunderstand me .. it is the closest hostel to the Grand Canyon and the Sedona area .. perfect location, but beside that it is nothing outstanding. Nevertheless a pretty good starting place to explore Arizona.
Actually we stayed in Motel du Beau which is attached with the hostel Pros: parking, nice staff, showers en suite, location Cons: none
