It's very clean and nice...good location. Just thought the breakfast is bit too expensive for a hostel, normally they are included! Also charged 3Euro for bedding...thought that should be included too! And found out my roommate paid 5 Euro less per night than me. When I asked the reception, they said the price for the same bed could vary depends on when and where you book. But general it was a good stay.

Super clean, great staff, very good breakfast buffet, lovely old house! :0) Just one BUT: The very young groups staying party in their rooms and in front of other's room late at night and again early in the morning, slam doors, etc....staff didn't manage to make them shut up and respect the rules...that really needs to change, all the rest was great!

We stayed at the Grand Hostel for 5 nights in the private room with ensuite. I've stayed in many hostels in the past and usually there’s at least one part of the experience which isn’t quite up to standard. It felt more like a plush Bed & Breakfast except this is a hostel with the buzz that comes with that. There really isn’t a single thing I can fault them with and I would definitely recommend staying there. The people are friendly, the place is spotless and the breakfast was great.

Good beds, good locks on the doors, the curtains make the room 100% dark, so you can easily sleep out without light. Very good hostel!

This is by far the nicest hostel I have EVER stayed at. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are SO clean and the staff is incredibly nice. Would recommend it 100%.

I stayed in hotels until Grand Hostel, and I think overall this was much better. The room was a great size and very well furnished, and actually had more than one power outlet, unlike most hotels. The shared facilities were the best I've used, very new and always clean. The location Is convenient, i was able to walk most places, if not there was the U Bahn nearby. Finally the breakfast was the best I've had overall, great selection and value for the price. I will definitely stay there again!

My stay there for the first 3 days was really pleasant but the security entry in the fourth day created some trouble as I wasn't able enter my the hostel and room. I had actually extended my stay for one more day but the security code was getting rejected when typed in. Then I ask for a new one and that too wasn't getting accepted. That was a bit of a disappointment and also the bathrooms didn't have any cloth hangers or hooks which is very inconvenient. But apart from these it was GREAT!!

Absolutely the best hostel we have stayed in anywhere, we have recommended this hostel to many travellers. It's close to transportation and only a 15min walk to Brandenburg Gates. The staff are terrific, very friendly and helpful, they take a great deal of pride in their workplace and make the guests feel like part of the family. This was our second trip to Berlin and the Grand Hostel, we looked forward to making it our home for the duration of our trip
