Christian was great...he brought us over a map while we were waiting a few min to check in and gave loads of suggestions of places to eat and things to do. The hostel was very clean, rooms really spacious, great showers...awesome.!

This was the first time experience staying in hostel, for me, and it was really nicer than I was expecting before. Really easy to find, close to the metro and bus station, most importantly staffs are very welcoming from the first place, very clean including WC, and one good thing is you can leave you heavy luggage in the reception then wander around the Berlin freely ;) This is the best choice for me to stay there.

Great Hostel. Really clean, quiet (was in a 4 bed room), friendly staff. And cheap for a big European city. Located 2/3minutes walk from the subway.

My friends and I absolutely loved Grand Hostel! When we arrived we were instantly greeted by one of the receptionists (Christian) who immediately filled us in on the places we had to see, showed us where they were on the map, and had recommendations for the best walking tours, pub crawls, and kabobs in Berlin. Not only that but our room was spotlessly clean- even the bathroom! We couldn't have been more satisfied with our short stay. Thanks again!

We don't have anything bad to say. Everything was perfect. One thing to improve, the breakfast. One day, we wanted a "normal" breakfast, not Brunch, but it was no possible.

Amazing facilities and one of the nicest hostels I have stayed at. I wish they included towels (had to pay 2 euros) and linens (an additional 3 euros), but other than that it was great!

The location is absolutely perfect, but I ended up walking the wrong way up the street for 5 minutes. A sign post outside the Ubahn with arrows would be fantastic, especially as it's so close. It would be a great advertisement too! I had a really great stay at the Grand Hostel. The staff we wonderful and the rooms were German style clean (VERY CLEAN). The door codes made me feel very safe.

The staff was great and they had awesome suggestions for activities in Berlin. The bed was comfortable and I liked that there was a bathroom in my dorm. I would suggest staying in a smaller dorm because you don't have to worry about people coming in at all times of the night. I had to catch an early flight and some people came in about a half hour before I had to get up so that affected my experience. It's not the fault of the hostel though!

It's the fifth time I stayed at the Grand Hostel. I guess that already says a lot. I find it a quiet, clean and comfy hostel (not a party hostel!) on a top-notch location that hardly any hostel in Berlin can beat. For those looking to get to know the splendid nightlife in Berlin, I can recommend their pub crawl, which leads to several interesting bars in Kreuzberg. Looking forward to my next stay at the Grand Hostel Berlin!

By far the best place we stayed during a month long trip around europe. And also one of the cheapest! Great welcome. Great rooms with high ceilings, modern yet within a great old building. Situated in Kreuzberg, a fantastic neighbourhood, over-looking the canal. Walkable to lots of great areas. Overall amazing place in an amazing city.

Nice clean hostel, big rooms and no bunk beds (nice) plus nice furniture. The location is great, close to a nice area in Kreuzberg with a lot of bars and cafes. Easy to get there from the train station as well.

From the outside the place looks a little average but inside it was fantastic. The staff were the most helpful I've ever met and went beyond their needs to make sure you had all the information you required. They were great and i would totally stay there again. Intternet access was good, the rooms were great and all in all it was fantastic.

Fantastic hostel. Good location, clean, comfortable, well-appointed rooms - the rooms do not look or feel at all like a typical hostel. Staff were, without exception, friendly, helpful and polite; and were great for recommending things to see and do. The hostel bar was great too. A great place to base yourself while you explore the fantastic city of Berlin, and fantastic value for money too.

one of the best hostels i've been so far: very comfortable beds and quiet rooms, clean, with an interesting interior design, a cool living space and really good music; welcoming (literally) and helpful, friendly; only a few steps from an u-ban station which brings you wherever you want in Berlin; very good coffee in a nice cosy bar next to the hostel; run professionally, leaving a good impression; next time i'm in Berlin i will defo stay at 'Grand Hostel Berlin' again =)

Great place to stay, mostly because of a fantastic value for the money, the cleanliness and that there is no bunkbeds. I like that there is plenty of room even though you stay in a dormitory. Location close to Kreuzberg's best spots as well as Friedrichstrasse. U-bahn minutes away. Computers are really bad and this is not directly a place to party, but I dont care about that. I'll stay at Grand again!
