Really nice manager, beautiful neighborhood. The water pipes are noisy so you wake up when someone takes an early shower and the electrical shower in our room did not heat water properly.

Pros: close to metro, Safe neighborhood, free coffee, helpful owner, nice common areas, big kitchen. There is a dog. The wifi is fast. Cons: lockers are only located in one room and are limited (in addition the lock I have been traveling with did not fit). Only one shower and toilet upstairs and it is very antiquated and the shower knob falls off when you turn it on. I was never able to figure out how to get hot water. Overall, the hostel is pretty good for the money.
Really peaceful hostel just halfway between the Metro station and the Poblado Zona Rosa. Lucy is an exceptionally helpful and friendly host - a place to enjoy and rest in, while still having access to all that Medillin has to offer. Cannot recommend more highly.
Really lovely hostel in a great location in Poblado, one of the safiest neighbourhoods in Medellin. Really close to the metro and the parks. Lucy, the owner is always around and really friendly and helpful, hostel is really clean with a big kitchen which is well equipped. Lovely outside area too with hammocks and tables. HIghly recommend!
It was a great hostel! Everything was nice! facility was good and the house was spacious. The only downside was that it was hard to find at first and not every bathroom has hot water. But generally a great hostel! I recommend it!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Grand Hostel. It was quiet (what I was looking for), there was always coffee, the kitchen was stocked and ready to use (the dishes were a bit dirty though), there was a nice outside area, and it overlooked a park with a little creek running through it. The owner is very nice and speaks both English and Spanish. She is very helpful and knows a lot so ask her what to do (the free walking tour is a must). At night it is quiet and safe and near an Exito!
