Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Gave me some great suggestions on things to do in Split and informed how to get to a Beach via the gardens - a pretty nice walk. The hike up the hill with luggage in the middle of Summer is a bit of a challenge but once checked into this Hostel, it is very good value for money

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal - although it was up a hill, it was located half way between the old city centre and Marjan Park with the quieter beaches - providing easy access to both. The atmosphere was good, good value for money and it was pretty clean. The only problem was only three toilets and two showers so you had to queue - but I guess that's normal in a hostel! Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Split :)

Grand Hostel Lero was honestly the highlight of my stay in Split! The staff were really friendly and welcoming as well as giving us some great advice about the city- they even welcomed us with lollies, watermelon and drinks! Being just 10 minutes from the centre, the hostel was in a really good location which added to the value of our trip. I hope to return soon to this hostel and have a great experience all over again!

Good welcome, map of Split with good local knowledge. WiFi always worked, bed was a little broken but manageable. 10 minute walk from centre, but again more than manageable. Very decent for the price.

Lovely villa with big, open rooms. Clean bathrooms and kitchen. Perfect location between the city (5 min walk to Diocletian Palace) and Marjan Hill with fabulous views. Would definately stay here again.

Was very impressed with Grand Hostel LerO. While staying here I felt at home, complementary wine was given to us at night, fresh towels on the beds, air conditioning and a great atmosphere. Compliments to the staff.

Really great hostel, simple but exactly what we wanted. The staff were really friendly and the place was very clean. A little hard to find but eventually we got used to it

The hostel staff were really friendly and the room itself was great. The location was a bit difficult to find and quite an uphill walk but after arriving and get a better understanding of the city layout, it really was quite manageable. And it was nice to get to wander some of the back streets of Split on the way to the Old Town each day.

We booked a 6 bed dorm but it was on renovation. We were given a studio appartment instead, which was very nive and comfy. Owner took care of everything and replied quickly when contacted (email, sms, call, etc!). Great stay, would choose again when comming back to Split.

Super friendly staff. Hostel is on it's way to becoming really really nice (it is brand new).

The location was not very close to the main attraction (old town), but the city is small so it is still quite close! also it is close to some really good beaches which the staff inform you. Really worthy !

Everything was okay. The hostel doesn't have a sign or reception. Once we checked in, we were walked to another property a few hundred meters away. The room was nice, but we were alone in the house, so we didn't get the real hostel atmosphere. After check in, we didn't see any staff at all. It was a decent value, but definitely not the normal hostel experience.

Sadly, the hostel was under renovation (but should be finished now, at it seems to turn out very nicely). Hence, we had to stay at a different place but staff was really helpful and friendly. The hostel is a bit up the hill, further from the old town.

We spent a great week end in this "family-run" hostel. The room was really nice, the kitchen and the bathroom as well. 5 min far from the city center, but far enough not to be disturbed by night-life noises ! highly recommended !

Very nice hostel, Lero was lovely and told us everything we needed to know! We were staying at the 2nd hostel away from the main one. About 5 mins walk to main streets. Only one bathroom though but it didn't bother us at all. Nice clean room! :)

I booked here because of the reviews. I was there when they were renovating the hotel lero. So i was taken to there apartment. This was good, both accomadations are about a 10 min walk into the city centre and i felt safe walking alone at night. Overall good value for money, good location only thing was there was about 10 people for one shower and toliet. But we stayed at the apartment which wasnt normal. So i think the renovated accomadation would be great.

We've been quite unlucky with Grand Hostel LerO. They were renovating the second floor so we could only use the first floor, which was completely different from what we were expecting after looking at the photos on Hostelworld. There was only one bathroom for the 2 dorms (9 beds in total) and it was dirty, only 4 blankets, and one power strip for the whole dorm. We decided to cancel our two last nights and the owner was sweet and comprehensive and offered us red wine after we complained.

Me and my friend stayed for two nights at the Grand hostel lerO and it was perfect ! We booked for a private room and it was super clean and all refurbished, the kitchen had all utilities available for us and the bathroom was the cleanest and beautiful I have ever seen. The hostel is only about 10 min walk from the city center, which was perfect because we could be in a more quiet area, but still very close to everything. The guys from the staff were great, really flessible and so nice with us.
