The hostel is in general good. The only slightly bad thing is the bathroom: apart from being mixed between man and woman, there is only one shower where there is space to change into.

A good hostel in Coimbra. Wasn't much going on in the city as Uni was out, but the hostel served its purpose, as we were only stopping in Coimbra to break up the trip from the Duoro Valley to Lisbon. If I ever found myself in Coimbra again, then I would stay there again.

Cosy hostel in a beautiful old building. We stayed in a spacious and clean two bed private room with a nice view over Coimbra and a beautiful tree in front of the hostel. Free WiFi, big and useful kitchen (only the freezer was broken), very helpful and friendly staff, basic breakfast included. There are common areas where you can get in touch with other travellers. A few minutes walk to the historical city centre. Recommendation!

The Grande Hostel was the very best hostel we stayed. It had a very nice atmosphere,is really spacy and the staff was super nice. The common spaces were amazing as well. the room at the first floor has a great view, thus it is really nice to sit there in the sun and read a book. The kitchen also is spacy and really has everything you could possibly want. Obviously the best part is the huge courtyard with the biggest gum tree i've ever seen. Thus itwas even great to just spend time at the hostel.
