Great Glenn is a great hikers hostel. Clean, airy yet warm and homey. It was a great relief after our last accommodations, we just wish we could stay longer than one night. Great Glenn is a ways from any restaurants, but affordable food is available to prepare on site. Laundry facilities are clean and reasonably priced as well. Overall great value and accommodations.

I really enjoyed my stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this hostel to all my hill walking friends. It is well placed and hills all around - will definitely go back there. Friendly hostel and its opened during the day. Noreen Whitelaw, Linlithgow Ramblers Association

Having arrived at the hostel soaking wet and with a soaking gear I was happy to see that the hostel had a large drying room and washing machines to sort my gear out after 4 days on the hill. I was made to feel really welcome by the staff.

We stayed at this hostel for one night enroute to the Outer Hebrides from Devon. We had booked our room before the whole hostel was booked to a group of young people, so being the only other guests were a little worried we might have a noisey night. However the group from 8 other countries were friendly, considerate and very quiet at night - a real joy to meet. The staff were helpful and the room and bathroom clean. All in all an extremely comfortable night's rest. Thank you

Several groups waiting for use of one single kettle at dinner time and breakfast time - shocking!

I stayed for one night when doing the Great Glen Way, meeting my wife there who spent two nights we and found the room a little small and quite cold. It was on the ground floorthough and right opposite a shower room with loo, so can't grumble too much. (Feet were killing me by the time I arrived!!) Kitchen facilities very good and the dining room and lounge area were very comfortable and clean/tidy.

Walking along the great glen way this was the best of 6 places we stayed. Very quiet (time of year) but very enjoyable stay. Could have been a bit closer to the boat pub haha

We waited 10 mins at reception before someone turned up eventually. Quite a homely hostel where you can buy provisions as no shop for miles. If you like to stay in a secluded spot then pretty ideal. The hostel was very cold-heard that the boiler was broken from a guest, would have been helpful to have been told this by the hostel and temporary heating made available. Good showers, decor a bit outdated and shabby but better downstairs. Nice tv area for guests and generally a pleasant stay.
