The room was very small and not very clean. The Beds were OK (quite short, but at least clean)... Very thin walls (I was kept awake by the snoring from a neighbour room). Compared to most B&Bs we stayed in, the hostel wasn´t considerably cheaper (when taking into account, you don´t get breakfast).

This is a lovely hostel with lots of improvements/modernisation since being bought from the SYHA a few years back. The only complaint was that someone's kids were running around at 5am but that's the fault of the parents and not the hostel.

Real plus point was the hostel shop where you could buy food and drink for the day ahead as there were no other facilities in the area.

Cute hostel, with very nice facilities, nice location (300meters away from the Great Glen Way) and nice people managing it. The only downside was that there were a lot of construction workers staying there at that time, which is not what you probably look for at a hostel.

We appreciated our comfortable bedroom, the amazingly well-equipped kitchen and the free Internet access provided in the hostel and even in our bedroom. This hotel has a feel-like home atmosphere which is very pleasant.

Excellent Hostel. Exceptionally clean and excellent facilities. Easily as clean as any hotels and B&Bs that I've stayed in - very nice decor. Would definitely recommend this hostel.

This is a very good equipped hostel. The only thing missing really were lockers in the room for extra security. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay: The room was really nice, six bed dorm but enough space for all our bags. There even was a pc in our room and comfortable chairs, so a definite plus. The audience was mainly hikers and everyone was really chatty and friendly.

Very well placed in the Highland, very clean, warm and had a great value for money. The owner was helpful and very informative. We felt like home and it was a nice retreat after roaming around the Highlands.

Shows what the SYHA could have done if they had spent a bit of money on the place - excellent refurbishment. Perfect centre for exploring the Great Glen. Well stocked store at hostel. Very friendly and experienced manager.

Drying room wholly inadequate because of the large number of wetsuits.

Very friendly staff and well maintained hostel (note for the survey - Great Glen Hostel is on Loch Lochy, not Loch Ness)
