Our double room was spacious and clean although we did not have the ensuite as we had reserved. But we can definately recommend this hostel. Very nice service, extremely helpful staff, many other friendly guest around. Thanks for the very pleasant stay!

Green Elephant was delightful; very well-managed with friendly staff, who really went out of their way to be helpful. The atmosphere was fun, especially in the courtyard bar, but it was quiet for sleeping. The surrounding neighbourhood, Observatory, is full of students, artists, unique shops and restaurants.

Really terrific hostel - one of the best I've stayed at in every way. The staff were all super nice and helpful, but also very laid back. The facilities (bathrooms, kitchen, etc.) were great. And the location is perfect (grocery, ATMs, restaurants, and train station all very close).

Our special highlight while staying at Green Elephant: Doing the table mountain hiking tour with Nyasha It`s worth all the sore muscles the next day(s)...

Had such a wonderful time at the Green Elephant....it exceeded all my expectations. The staff were welcoming, friendly and really helpful. I would recommend Green Elephant to anyone and will definitely stay again!!! Thanks guys...you made my time in Cape Town a truly special time!!!
