Probably my favorite place (of 4) I stayed in Cape Town. Chilled out, cool staff, good bar, free pool table, good hangout areas, and I liked Obz a lot. Very cool neighborhood. Definitely worth checking out.

The people who ran the hostel are all so helpful and friendly, we loved our stay and would definetly stay again, as cape town is such a beautiful place.

This hostel was so amazing. It had every extra you could ever want in a hostel, and even had two lounges, one with a big screen tv. The 24 hour reception was great, and the staff was extremely helpful, and they'd book tours for us that we had not already booked. I wish more hostels were like the Green Elephant because it was a fantastic experience getting to stay there.

You will feel at home here... A lot of people stay a long(er) time here and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it !!

We had a great time at the Green Elephant. I loved the good atmosphere, the cozy bar, the neighborhood and the nice staff, who were gladly to help if there were anything we needed. Not the best facilities, but much more and much better than at most hostels.

Our double room was spacious and clean although we did not have the ensuite as we had reserved. But we can definately recommend this hostel. Very nice service, extremely helpful staff, many other friendly guest around. Thanks for the very pleasant stay!

Green Elephant was delightful; very well-managed with friendly staff, who really went out of their way to be helpful. The atmosphere was fun, especially in the courtyard bar, but it was quiet for sleeping. The surrounding neighbourhood, Observatory, is full of students, artists, unique shops and restaurants.

Really terrific hostel - one of the best I've stayed at in every way. The staff were all super nice and helpful, but also very laid back. The facilities (bathrooms, kitchen, etc.) were great. And the location is perfect (grocery, ATMs, restaurants, and train station all very close).

Green elephant is just fantastic. Edwina and all the people in the staff are extremely helpful and nice. See you soon!!
