Sorry but found the hostel to be not very clean (look under the beds for example) also shower was terrible only one and it floods also no hook to hang hand held spray. Location felt unsafe although most of the Bucharest was the same. Washing machine was good as it's free but need a dryer. No breakfast on the last day when I left at 830 no sign of anyone. Bed old and rickety. Also noisey from the main reception area I was in the first room.Staff seemed friendly and informative.
The Green Frog Hostel is one of the best hostels I have visited. I reserved a private room and it was huge! The staff, Marius and Alex are great! The owner Roxana is friendly, caring, and welcoming. Marius, is very accommodating to every guest. Breakfast was served promptly every morning and the coffee was delicious. I had an amazing stay at the Green Frog. I plan on staying here again next Spring! I can't wait to see the staff at the Green Hostel again! Take care guys!
Family is really friendly who own it and showed us on a map where to go in the city. It's in between the main train station Gara Du Nord and Piata Romani so two options to get there by bus from the airport. The kitchen was basic and had everything to use to cook our own dinner. The shower was great. The only thing is there are no locks on the door and I wasn't sure there was anywhere to leav valuables. We enjoyed and would stay again.
What a wonderful hostel! I have stayed in many many hostels, and this one is definitely my favorite. The owner is wonderful and really makes you feel at home and goes out of his way to know you personally. He also helps create a lovely atmosphere among the guests, which is a definite plus for a female solo traveler.

This must have been one of the best hostel experiences I've had so far. The hostel is situated at walking distance from all the main attractions. We had to use public transportation only 3 or 4 times to get to the sights that were further away, like the Village Museum and the Arc. Marius was the best host, going out of his way to help us and let us know where to go or what to see. He stayed up with us whenever we were feeling like staying up for a couple of beers. Nicest guy ever. RECOMMENDED

Wonderful staff, very kind and helpful. Nice place to lay your head for a night's sleep!
The map offered was confusing sometimes, but the rest was great!
I really enjoyed staying here. Although very small, its very confortable. Its about 20 mins walk to the old town, but not a deal breaker. If you are out at night a taxi shouldn't cost more than 8 lei. I do recommend this place.
Most staff were friendly and very good but one of them allowed a guy to sleep in our room without telling us first. We were convinced to believe that the room was only for ourselves just to find another guy in there when we returned in the evening. Shower could use improvements, because it was flooding a lot. The breakfast was very good and the room was spacious, having a sofa besides the four beds and very good mattresses and pillows.
We had a private room for two nights and were really happy with the hostel. The staff were helpful and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. Disappointed that we couldn't lock our own door though. All areas were clean and the shower is awesome.
I really enjoyed staying here. Primarily for the staff. It's like family here. When I arrived they went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. Within walking distance of all the major attractions in the city. Only drawback was the "noise". Not so much an issue but a situation to be aware of. The common area is in the middle of two rooms. You can hear everything. People were really respectful though. Praise to the staff for keeping things in line. Highly recommended.
People managing this hostel were adorable and very nice. They were very generous in giving advices and tips for traveling over Romania. Our private double room had a great big bed and was very big. The breakfast was really generous and included.
Awesome hostel with a very hospitable staff. Maurice, Roxanna and their crew made my stay very welcoming and are just nice people overall. Great location in regards to getting there from the airport via the bus, the metro stations, parks, and a short walk to old town. Thanks guys!
The location is very good, close to Cismigiu and in a very quiet neighborhood.
Great hostel for the price, good location to old town and Victoria Square and the center.
Nice and helpful owner, even nicer reception guy! i got a single room, with a bathroom, it was brand new and huge, for an extremely affordable price
