The hostel feels like a home away from home. The owner, Maia, is very helpful in organizing your trip. It was rather quiet with just a handful of guests when I was there, so if you are after partying in a big group, look elsewhere. For a comfortable, relaxed stay in Tbilisi, this hostel is ideal. I will (and in fact already did) stay again.

After spending 3 nights at the green house hostel, I can honestly say that it felt like home. Maia (the host) is extremely kind and polite, always providing vital local knowledge of Tbilisi and interesting places to visit in Georgia. It is the perfect place to stay if you wish to meet like-minded, adventurous young people.

Maia, the hostel owner/manager is amazing - she knows a lot about travelling around the country and will help you a lot in choosing the right transport and even putting you in contact with guest houses all over the place, including Mestia, Telavi and Tusheti. The hostel has a really nice, relaxed environment.

This is an absolutely lovely hostel in a great location. The Old Town and bustling streets of the west bank of the river are within a 10 minute or a few minutes taxi. The hostel itself is very much like a home. Great big kitchen and a relaxed vibe to kick off your shoes, unpack and chill out. Maia and Alex who run it are, however, the stars. They are absolutely lovely, super friendly and really knowledgeable of Georgia and the city, and go out of their way to help. Highly recommended.

Staying at Green House Hostel was by far the best choice we made for our time in Tbilisi! Stayed there five nights, and by the end, we thought we were family. The owners also live there and have filled the place with their own personal artwork and feel. If you get to know the family (even went on a personal tour to Kazbegi with the son-- and it was AWESOME!) you get a fantastic look into the heart of Georgian hospitality. Madloba (thanks) for the great accommodations, atmosphere and spirit!!

A great hostel close to the center, about 10-15 minutes walk. Maia is very helpful, lovely and speaks very good English. You can get help from her 24/7.

Pros: Owners are nice and friendly. The Balcony is charming. They sent us a driver to pick us up from the airport and arranged us a taxi when we left with a good price. Cons: Hostel has a strong smell of cigarettes and the owners were smoking contiuesly. Rooms don't have shadows and are fully lit starting 5am on summer. Hostel feels empty and not for the solo traveler Owners information about things to do in Tbilisi was not very helpful . Hostel is 15 minutes walk from the center

One of my best hostel experience ever. Lovely neighborhood, comfortable facilities and charming atmosphere created by the owner, Maia, who speaks perfect English, is very friendly and knowledgeable about Tbilisi and Georgia. She even surprised us with pancakes once. The hostel has two lovely terraces and it's nothing better than relaxing there under plum trees after a tiring day.

The hostel was very nice and both owners extremely friendly. They invited me to have a dinner with them and it was a great experience. Lockers would be nice, however everything else was perfect and I fully recommend this hostel.

A great experience. Maia is the life and soul of Green House hostel. She makes you feel right at home from the moment you step into the hall, and yet she is never intrusive. The nice, big kitchen makes it ideal for those who want to prepare their own food. The presence of patio downstairs and a terrace upstairs is extremely welcome, you can lie there with a beer and chat for hours, or read your book. I will definitely stay there again if i go back to Tbilisi.

I've stayed in this wonderful hostel for two nights. Maia the owner of the hostel is very helpful, kind and decent person. She is always ready to help and answer your questions. The hostel itself is very clean, tidy and quiet with lovely garden and big balcony. We had our meal in the garden under the shadow of trees. Definitely would like to stay in this hostel again if I come back to Tbilisi!

we came very early, just left our stuff in a hall of the hostel, cause we didn't want to wake someone up. felt like home. Location is good, across the bridge you can find good restaurants, 15 min from the square of freedom. The room was comfortable and clean, but very creaking doors. we had to leave Tbilisi at 6am, so I think we woke our neighbors up)
