Our stay in the Green House Hostel was good. Most of the staff were nice and very helpful. The breakfast was poor (just toasted bread and coffee). Rooms were cosy if perhaps not the cleanest! It can be awkward to get to and from town but you are closer to the national park etc.

If it wasn't for the stick-up their nose staff, this hostel would have been excellent: plenty of space, great kitchen, spatious dorms with lockers, spotless bathroom, nice and warm all around the house. The breakfast is a little disappointing (hard bread with dulce de leche and jam) and you often feel unwelcome during the day and at breakfast due to the staff sitting around as if waiting for you to leave.

At first I thought it would be a bad choice to stay away from downtown Bariloche. But then I discovered that staying away from the city centre allows you to be closer to the places of interest and to the nature. I was just a little bit annoyed when Brian knocked my door after the first night asking me to leave because he wanted the room, but it was just a misunderstood. They even allowed me to pay in US$ at a very good exchange rate and bought me back my then useless Bariloche bus card!

Hostel really clean, sadly the staff were not so good. Somehow although low saeaon felt like was bothering them. One internet in a hostel is also tough going when you want to organise moving onwards.

One of the best, if not THE best, hostel in Argentina. So well run. You feel like you're in someone's home, not a hostel. The kitchen is one of the best I've seen for cooking meals communaly. Two separate sinks, two separate 4 burner stove tops with 2 ovens. Plenty of things to cook in and always someone around to help.Great common room area to sit in. Bathrooms come with soap and hand towels, a nice touch that is often lacking in hostels. The couple who run it are the best!

Felt like home right when my girlfriend and I checked in, super buena onda con vista del lago y empleados SUPER AMABLES! The best kitchen I have seen with 8 gas burners, 2 ovens, enough room for all guests to cook. Delivery pizza/empanadas/whatever you like as well, they will order for you and end the night watching a movie on the big projector screen, Thanks Brian and staff!

Great and very helpful staff that made you feel welcome! The place is pretty clean and decent, kitchen has everything you need and the people hanging out there were pretty laid-back too. Regarding the location, it is a bit out of town at km 4.7 but buses are commuting every 15mins to town and for most of the hikes and tours you do not have to go downtown! Definitely recommend it!

A nice place to stay. A bit far from the city, but lots of buses running in to Bariloche. We had a good time and could definitely stay again.

The owner, Brian, was very accommodating, picking us up from the bus terminal, sharing bus cards and travel information. Great vibe to the hostel and folks who chose it. In a beautiful setting looking over the lake five K from bustling Bariloche. We loved our ensuite attic room! Thank you. We've recommended you to other travelers here in El Bolson.

Green House Hostel is a great place to crash, mingle and relax. There is a fantastic lounge area to congregate in and the kitchen is the best by far we have seen in South America. We stayed in the only double with a private bathroom which is basically a small aprtment in the loft....an absolute charm. Our next few nights were in a fairly small double room with a shared bathroom, which was also satisfactory. While the hostel is not in town, it is on the main drag with a regular bus service.

In all respects, Green House was great. I loved the location - 4.7 km outside of town (near the lake) but with very easy access to local transportation. The Staff was very easy going and super helpful, the accommodations were clean and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The public areas are well laid out and inviting. I highly recommend it!

Staff is really nice and always available. Great, cheap pizza. Good location, not in the busy town area, but better for it. Close to good trekking trails and some bus stops. Good kitchen with plenty of space and facilities. There's a pretty funny cat that hangs around outside, too.

Green House was the best hostel we stayed in through out Argentina. Despite the distance from town, staff made every accommodation to enable our transportation, i.e.giving us a rechargable card with enough pesos to get inand top it up. The setting is exquisite, close to all the hiking of the circuito. Again staff helped in every way possible with advice, reserving a tour, explaining how to navigate the collectivos, etc. The loft room on top was the best with small kitchenette, bath and best view

Good wifi in every where in the hostel, free towel, good kitchen, tasty Brian coffee, clean bathroom and common area. Good location for the beach, supermarket, trekking courses. 4.7km away from the city central is only 10 min bus ride so considering all other natural environments the hostel opens the access, I think the location is good. And they lend you a bus card as well. I forgot to use the pick-up service from the terminal, but they gave me a ride to airport bus

Excellent hostel. By far this is the best hostel of my south american trip. Great place, great atmosphere, very clean. Staff at the Green House is simply the best. I rated the Green House 100% but I'll be ready to give it 200% if I could.
