The location is a bit far from the heart of town. I grew tired of walking the same construction ridden path every day. The building was charming and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. My only complaints are that the bathroom was constantly covered in water and the breakfast was lacking. Perhaps having some sort of granola or fruit would be a better alternative to the two choices of salad or unmixed salad ingredients.

It was just a one night stay. But I really joyed my abode. The staff was really hospitable, the took immediately action when you mention a problem, their English was good and they really do their best to make it a pleasant stay for me. Greetings from Holland!

I stayed at Green House for five nights when I orginally only intended on staying one. The hostel is clean and comfortable. Good location. Talat and Anna are two of the best people who have ever received me at a hostel. They care for so much more than only giving you directions or telling you where to eat. Highly recommend. Thanks for everything!! -Katie

Amazing place to be. Very different from all the other hostels I've ever been to..more familiar, more helpful, more welcoming. Motivated, turstworthy staff. Nice basic breakfast, drinking water and tea for free all day/night long. Warm atmosphere and perfect location.

Definitely up there as one of my favourite hostels so far in my travels. The owner Talat is very friendly and welcoming. Common room was a great place to chill after a day of exploring Istanbul. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Istanbul.

My boyfriend and I spent a lovely time at the Green House. The hostel was fairly clean and well-organized with all the facilities we needed. It has a good location. The staff was great to us and we would recommend it to our friends!

Great stay! Perched in a quiet street near busy Taksim square and its attractions. Outstanding facilities at such a price. I slept in a dormitory. good mattress. Fellow travellers are cool. Above all, it is the staff that will make your stay in Istanbul memorable! I travelled in many countries and dozens of hostels. For the first time I felt compelled to write a review. Such a genuine welcome is rare and precious to witness once in your lifetime. Talat, Bella, George, thanks for all.

Hostel was a nice place to stay, what depends on the atmosphere and on Bella, who were sooo friendly!!! I think such things are always the most important on travelling and especially in hostels. BUT the bed was unacceptable (and I saw many! hostels in my life!). Blood spots and mildew on the bedsheet, mildews on the ceiling, that fall down on on the bed regulary . We asked for some new bedsheets....the same dirt. But this don't depend on Bella, but on the unfriendly guy who made the rooms.
