I needed a hostel for one night before I caught my flight home. This hostel fit the bill. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The Green Mango Inn is your typical hostel. My two friends and I stayed in the mixed dorm of 6 beds. Our first impression of the room was, "Whoa, this is a tight squeeze." The room is probably best suited for 4 beds, but a bed is a bed; and we only needed the place for one night. The site says that it's close to the airport, but we found it to be a bit farther than expected. It took about 20-30 minutes to get there (220 php in an airport taxi). It's in a quaint neighborhood, though.

We arrived on the evening of Chinese New Year and the staff cooked us free food and offered us complimentary drinks! Exceptionally generous and friendly staff, and had no problems getting from the hostel to the airport for an early morning flight. Excellent choice!

Great friendly people, very relaxing little garden. nice room and shower. Got pre-paid taxi from airport. metered ones give you the run around. place is hard to find so print instructions for taxi.

Very helpful staff, everyone is nice and friendly. Unfortunately the hostel is located quite far from town, but good for those who would like to experience the various public transports. I generally did enjoy my stay and would recommend the location.

Very sweet and helpful (yet shy) staff. Beautiful garden and clean common area. Room was small but ok and clean, which cannot be said about the room's walls which had stuff stuck to them everywhere. Nice neighbourhood with some good restaurants, but not really good for getting anywhere but the airport (it's the opposite direction). Perfect for a stopover or if you need to relax for some time, not more.

Directions to the hostel could be a little more clear. Our taxi driver stopped several times to ask for directions. We stayed in a dorm room. It was very clean and I appreciated the curtains that were attached above the bed so I could get a little privacy. I would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Green Mango Inn and wish it could have been for longer. I've stayed in a few places in Manila and this is by far the cleanest and friendliest of them. The staff were excellent - very helpful and prompt to deal with any questions. The garden and bar areas were relaxing and peaceful places to hang out. I'm looking forward to returning here in the future.

We love mangoes =) Also, garden is really nice, and you can both cook by yourself and order food from the kitchen. The rooms are basic but clean, as are the showers. The staff is helpful. The whole hostel area is locked so we felt safe there. The surrounding area contains a few groceries, pharmacies and restaurants. Good value for the money.

The hostel itself is good, nothing to complain about. Staff was friendly, they even provided you welcoming drink, which it was nice to drink at the yard. But the location doesn´t help at all to get a ride to Manila down town. It might take you about an hour if you´re lucky and is not rush hour. Otherwise, the place is good value for money.

I stayed at Green Mango overnight on my way to Coron, I think for an overnight stay or a few days rest from travel I would recommend it. It is very secure and there are lots of restaurants near by. The staff are so nice and welcoming. The rooms are a little on the shabby side but very clean and comfortable. The gardens are fantastic and well maintained. Due to the amount of traffic in Manila, it is still a 30minute taxi ride to the airports. I will definitely stay there on my way back.

The small single room is cramped. No space for opening a trunk. The larger room does not feel more spacious due to a bed (good for 5 persons?) which covers most of the floor space. Breakfast (not included) was kind of haphazard (the out of stock problem). Adding an additional 11 pesos per night to my accommodation budget, I managed to round up my stay in Manila at a multiple-star hotel in Makati.

The garden is cute and nice. The dorm I stayed in was totally cramped, no room to put your bags etc. Toilet was pretty unpleasant. When I paid for my stay, they didn't have change, and they said they pay me back later but I never saw the money. The location is okay, if you use jeepneys, you can get to the centre with about P40, it just takes time. The neighbourhood is very nice, lots of restaurants and a small shopping mall in a walking distance, even though there is really nothing to do there.

The menu could be expanded to include traditional dishes; nothing but good things to say about the staff.
