The Hostel is great for Manila as it is located in a secure gated community with good food shops & transport within a short walking distance. It was secure, clean, comfortable, cheap & the staff were friendly.I would recommend it.However don't book an airport taxi from them as its a rip off !.

The hostel have bed bug. I'm very sensitive towards this kind of thing. Plus it is quite far ahead. Maybe they can give the landmark if passing thru mercury drug shop then you can see us at ur left.

Definitely an airport stop, and a very good one. BUT try to take a metered taxi to/from the airport. In the morning it cost 144 pesos compared to 500 pesos Neighborhood is unspectacular yet there are plenty of restraurants around, and the hotel will cook you a good meal.

the primary complaint i have is that there were bed bugs in the dorm. i could smell insecticide when i arrived . the staff shifted us to the vacant dorm room the next day and i and the brazilian in the room once again were bitten at night. i did manage to see one of the critters with a head lamp. the dorm was far too cramped. consequently, i would never return. sincerely, jim sedoff, west palm beach, florida

Stayed one night before flying out to Australia the next day. Hotel staff were polite and friendly and even accommodated a late upgrade from a dorm booking to a private ensuite room. The room was clean and comfortable with aircon and a TV. Free wireless and welcome drink was a bonus! The staff helped with finding our way around the area outside the hotel and gave the best advice for travelling safely and cheaply to the airport. Highly recommended for short stays.

Twin-bed room is way too small if it's meant for two people. The shower and floor was never dry, always moist and no space to to place toothbrush etc. The A/C unit was not powerful enough to keep the room cool. Not enough table or locker space to put your stuff. The "safe box" was far from being safe, the door know was loose and you could probably crack it with a butter knife. Staff was pretty friendly and somewhat helpful.

The rooms were just okay, but the staff were friendly and it was awesome that they cooked us dinner one night! For the price, I would definitely return.

Green Mango Inn is a great hostel tucked away in a residential/commercial area near MNL international airport. They have good accommodations for budget travellers. House managers Elena and Reizele go the extra mile to make sure you feel at home. At the time I was there the owner even gave a thank you dinner of delicious sphagetti, fried chicken and Filipino fried lumpia. Green Mango in is an excellent base for exploring the Philippines. This is my fourth stay and I will surely come back.

I initially booked the green mango inn for 8 days because I really liked the look of the outdoor features, it was so different to the hotel rooms I had been looking at. Also the price was good in comparison to the hotels. The first room we had was disapointingly small but the following day we changed our room for a bigger one at extra cost which we were very happy with. The best recomendation I can give is that we ended up staying there for our entire three week holiday. I would recomend it

You get what you pay for, some rooms has no window and the room I stayed in was a bit tiny (room with private bathroom and toilet) even for single person and the bed was obstructing the door to the bathroom so it was a bit difficult to get in and out of the bathroom/toilet. I had stayed here before and I know that not all rooms are the same. What makes this place work is the reception staff and porters are sooo welcoming, friendly and helpful, the staff are worth staying for. =)

The Green Mango Inn is your typical hostel. My two friends and I stayed in the mixed dorm of 6 beds. Our first impression of the room was, "Whoa, this is a tight squeeze." The room is probably best suited for 4 beds, but a bed is a bed; and we only needed the place for one night. The site says that it's close to the airport, but we found it to be a bit farther than expected. It took about 20-30 minutes to get there (220 php in an airport taxi). It's in a quaint neighborhood, though.

We arrived on the evening of Chinese New Year and the staff cooked us free food and offered us complimentary drinks! Exceptionally generous and friendly staff, and had no problems getting from the hostel to the airport for an early morning flight. Excellent choice!

Great friendly people, very relaxing little garden. nice room and shower. Got pre-paid taxi from airport. metered ones give you the run around. place is hard to find so print instructions for taxi.
