I was there at off season and I was the only one in the hostel but hostel owners were like clients too making the bathrooms busy and making noise. It is new so it has to be improved by service but location was excellent and since it is new, beds are also very comfortable. I think next summer it could be better

Beds are nice, outside common areas are good. Showers are not that good, and there is not really a nice place inside to hang out in. One of the guys at the reception is eating the breakfast, so make sure you get there before him! Otherwise, we had a really nice time there, and the staff was helpful with directions and information.

We love this place!!!! The value we got for our money is the best we found in chile. David and his father Hiraldo run this hostel and are two of our favorite people. Generous, kind and patient with us and all of their guests, it was such a joy, we came back after a couple days elsewhere. The rooms are simple (no frills) and the beds are brand NEW! The location is incredible with the beach minutes away, resturaunts all over, shopping malls and small boutiques are just as close. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

I enjoyed my stay at Green Star, the communal areas are nice (all outdoor but not really a problem for summer time in Viña), bedrooms fine, breakfast is okay, staff very friendly and helpful. My only issue is that the hostel only has two toilets (bathrooms) - fine if you are an early riser and use them before everyone else, but it just isn't enough for the number of beds. I would stay here again.

Hostel had a great location very close to the beach and close to restaurants and bars. There was no hot water in the showers but there was great outdoor space and colorful rooms.

Great easy going place with cool vibe. Staff and owners are friendly and go out of their way to help. Good area to hang out and meet other guests. Had a great time would like to go back.

Dorm beds are almost $20 each in a very cramped room - you can barely walk between the bunks. And you have to put on your own sheets. There are two single-person bathrooms for 30-something guests, so you're always waiting. There is nowhere to relax except the courtyard where they play bad club music all day and night. Terrible place for the price!

If you are looking for peace and quiet this is not the place. It is certainly not the place for mid-aged couple. It is a young crowd/backpacker's hostel that don't care about others. The eating area and lounge is outside in a common area, there are no indoor common areas. The double room is at the top of the stairs, over the reception area and is extremely noisy especially when people come in late at night or stop to speak with the fellows at the reception. This hostel is not value for money

I went to this hostel two times, its really new i think they started with it like 2 month ago. The owners of the hostel really like what they do, so every day the hostel was going better and i can bet that now provably its much better than when i was there. The location is the best, the rooms are ok and the commun areas are very nice. All the staff put the best will to make your stay a pleasant experience. If you are looking for a hostel in Viña, stop here, this one is.

The price for the double room is very expensive considering that it is supposed to include breakfast which was just bread!!! The ensuite shower constantly changes from extremely hot to cold. The noise made from people walking around due to the wooden flooring echos throughout our room and the light streams straight into our room as there are no curtains, we didnt sleep very well at all :(

Green Star Hostal was excellent. Great owners, great environment and a great sleep :) If you are looking for a chill place to just hang out and a place that is close to the beach and grocery stores then stay here. The two house dogs are a nice addition too.

If you are a young backpacker traveling with friends this hostel is a good choice. The staff were friendly, and the hostel clean. It's location was spot on. However, if you are a couple planning to book the double room, I'd steer clear. The room is small and lacking in creature comforts for $28.000 Chilean pesos a night. Yes, it's a hostel, but there is better hostel accommodation for couples for that kind of money. For young travelers in groups or alone it is a good choice.

Fun new little hostel close to the beach clubs restaurants fruit shop supermarcado! What more can you ask for! Beds are great as they are brand new mattresses, rooms equip with lockers and fans. Breakfast was amazing, fruit and pate not just carbs galor and cafe jam! Good kitchen space for cooking and ping pong table and chill out area is perfecto! Just be patient with the bathrooms as they are new they are working on fixing that! Deff recommend to stay here! Owned and ran by fellow travelers!

Green star is a very new hostel, and our first stay here was wonderful. Rooms were clean and bright, with clean bedding provided. A full kitchen, not to mention the BBQ down in the courtyard, make cooking at the hostel very easy. There were two bathrooms, but that is only a problem if everyone is trying to take a shower at once. We never had problems. Thank you David and Cecelia for a great say!
