Very clean place and friendly staff. Alright location quite central to everything. Not much of an atmosphere going on at the time we were here but I feel like it may have just been an out of luck type of thing.

It would be nice if they put curtains over each bunk like the green tortoise in seattle. Other than that. Super awesome!

This hostel is really cool and located in a safe and central location near Chinatown. Staff are really helpful and friendly, and give out good advice. There were events on every night and they were really fun although never as good value for money as they claimed to be! I had lots of fun at this hostel, met lovely people and the free breakfast was good. I'd definitely stay here if I returned to San Fransisco and I'd highly recommend it if you are sociable and want to meet fellow travellers.

This is the king of hostels! Best hostel iv ever been to! Wether you want a quiet break or to party, this is the place to be!

Nothing amazing.

- Prime SF location. However, be careful at night 1-2 blocks up and down, as the area gets questionable. Hotels several blocks away go for 5 - 6X price. - Staff is efficient. Always people at the front desk & they help you quickly. Make sure to follow the rules, esp in the kitchen, so as to stay out of trouble. - Dining Hall! Great breakfast/dinner, lots of space, great music, and met some nice people. - Sat night through the morning is noisy! Other nights are quiet. - Clean bathrooms.

Awesome place. The free breakfast is AMAZING! Eggs, bagels, coffee etc. Bathrooms very clean and plentiful. Common space is really spacious and welcoming. Yes it's a bit more expensive than other places but it's so worth it (I stayed at a cheap terrible place prior). You make your money back from the breakfast - so many bagels to take! Beds very comfortable. 10/10! Would definetely come back

One of the better hostels I have stayed at! Super friendly staff and more or less daily activities.

The hostel advertize itself as a party hostel. Didn't see that happening. The profile on Hostelworld says also that it it a smoking free hostel, but it is not. The staff is not very friendly. The thing I did like was the breackfast and the kitchen.

Great breakfast, hugh common area and steady beds (which didn't look really clean as soon as you took off the sheets ...). Lockers were even big enough to put a whole suitcase in them and the rooms were quite big too. It's a big difficult to get a free shower in the morning and the breakfast is only till 10am. Everything else was fine. Although there were table dance bars next door the area seemed safe.

The bad: Room was v poorly ventilated and bathroom situation needs to be addressed. The good: The staff were helpful and location was great.

Location is good. 15min from Coit Tower and easy access to different public transportation.
