Nice hostel with a friendly atmosphere. Rooms clean and tidy - love the curtains around the bed! Tour of the Lee graves, Hendrix memorial and Cobain's house also really cool.

Really nice vibe to this hostel, rooms were warm and welcoming, and the curtains on each bed made for a little bit of extra comfort and privacy. Good bathrooms, and some great food!! Loved the free breakfast, and the 3x weekly free dinners, best cook!! Also location wise this hostel was great, I walked everywhere, and public transport (if u needed it) was only a street away, will stay here again!

Everything about the Green Tortoise was great!! The location is awesome, the staff is cool and the overall environment is fantastic! Every person is provided with a security box for their stuff (bring a lock!) the bathrooms are nice and clean. Definitely the place to be if you want a fun, unpretentious place to stay at.

Really nice hostel however the front door really should be locked as people from the street could just walk into the hostel. The free dinners were excellent and far more than we expected. Only main downside to the hostel is the 'private lounge', first of all if you are a non-smoker you kind of miss out on meeting people as a lot of people go in there and second of all its very noisy until 3am, our room was directly above it and we were kept awake by the loud music.
