I had great time staying in this hostel. It's great! The location s o convenient that the pike market is just opposite the hostel, gum wall is 3 min walk, the world 1st Starbucks is about 10 min walk, as well as seattle aquarium and The Crab pot. Transportation is convenient too is you want to visit others place. Nevertheless, hostel provide free breakfast every morning. It's all-you-can-cook or all-you-can-eat. They provide eggs and pancake. They also provide free dinner 3 days in a week. Good

I had a great experience at the Green Tortoise! The highlights are definitely the social atmosphere and events suggested and planned by staff! Free dinners several nights per week! Organized pub crawls, hiking trips and ball games! Lots of suggestions for walking tours in Seattle and other things to do. The hostel was very secure and the location is great. There was plenty of space for locking up my suite case and the bunks had little curtains for privacy!

just perfect place to stay

Nice hostel. Some proper aircon and shelves or other in the bed to store wallet etc. would be my only suggestions for improvements. Big gaps all around the bed where stuff could fall down.

Temperature control was an issue, with sweltering heat keeping us awake. Pancakes for breakfast and free Sunday dinner , large and practical lockers, good WiFi (for a hostel) and bed curtains giving a surprising amount of privacy for a dorm. Perfect location! Abundant toilets, somewhat small rooms.

This hostel is unbeatable for location (Pike and 1st) and it has a good party vibe while remaining civilised for quieter/older travellers.

Location is phenomenal and facilities are really good. Nice wide beds with privacy shades. Not enough showers for the number of dorms they have, but they are excellent showers. Wifi is good too. Great common areas and free meals are a great plus. Do the walking tour of pike place! Alot of the staff are volunteers who work for a free bed, which means they become their own social clique that dominates the common area and can be exclusive of others.

Easy to find location, key card access to hallways and rooms. Bike storage inside. Stocked kitchen available for use. Quite clean throughout for being otherwise dingy looking. Bunks have personal lights, fans and curtains. Lockable storage under the bunks - bring your own lock. I didn't care for the staff being high (there's a pot smokers room in the rec area). Price is a bit high, but it was booked out solid every night so it must be a good deal for Seattle.

Excellent location, can't beat it. 1 min to walk to Pile Place Market. I have really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere in the lounge. I love the pancake, table soccer and the people there.

I had to cancel the reservation - but I moved it to October 31st. I've stayed at Green Tortoise on Halloween before - looking forward to it during the Seattle ShortRun comicon again.
