A bit run down apartment, but located in a nice polish neighborhood just outside funky Williamsburg. The room on first floor gets very humid after a shower, but has utensils for you to make your own food. Nice restaurants and bars just around the block. A ten to fifteen minutes walk to the L-train takes you to Manhattan.

Excellent hostel, especially Debra (the manager) is a great person. She had so manz good advices concerning food, places to go and transportation. Green Point is a great neighbourhood, especially if you like Polish food and culture.

We had a very pleasant stay at greenpoint lodge. It is well located and the neighborhood is very nice. Sole critic regards the fact that our room (rose room) did not have any window.

Greenpoint Lodge definitely is a home away from home! Very cosy, clean and - speaking for the double private room - quiet place...just what you need after a busy day in NY. The owner and manager are both very nice and gave us some helpful advice about what to do and where to eat. There are some really good restaurants in the area and a 24-hour-shop as well as a subway station are just around the corner. All in all, Greenpoint Lodge offers great value for little money! We'll definitely come back!

A wonderful urban retreat. Great access to the subway, in a nice quiet neighborhood with good shopping/eating facilities. The one bedroom suite was well laid out for a group of three and a welcome retreat at the end of a busy day walking in Manhattan. Even in winter the private backyard was an unexpected delight.

Greenpoint Lodge really is like a home away from home. Everything I would have wanted at home was thoughtfully provided here, right down to a coffee grinder. Since I travel a lot, I especially appreciated how uncrowded it was and how much like a normal apartment. Plus, the neighborhood is pretty great and the subway is literally right there. I would really recommend the pizza place beside the house, too. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a good place to stay in New York.

For the most part my stay was enjoyable. The first 2-3 nights were a drag due to other guests from other suites being so rowdy and using our bathroom and leaving a despicable site in the morning. Once they checked out, the rest of my stay was great.

If you're looking for a classic hotel with hotel services etc. this is not for you, but we were very satisfied and I think we got a very good value for our money. At first, it seemed a little odd with no staff being around, but everything (our arrival, the payment etc.) went exactly as we had been told, it works just fine even without any staff present :) Also the location is very good, the subway station is literally just a few steps from the house and it takes about 20-30 minutes to Manhattan.

Greenpoint was in a great location- a nice neighborhood in Brooklyn.. The subway was practically outside the door. We were on the 2nd floor in the blue room. The room appeared small on line but was actually larger than it looked. It was very clean and had a window that opened. The kitchen was fully equipped- even had instant coffee and spices for cooking. Ample towels were provided. The bathroom was large and had a nice shower. The entire apartment was extremely clean and well maintained.

Great accommodation, had a real New York feel to it whilst also feeling like a home away from home. The subway is almost literally on your doorstep and runs 24 hours a day so getting to Manhattan is very easy. It´s about a 15 min trip with one train line change. The neighbourhood is very Polish with a trendy/hipster side to it so there´s great restaurants around. Felt very safe in this neighbourhood. I´d definitely stay here again next time I´m in NYC.
