Not that they need a good review, but I really enjoyed my time at Gringo's Rincon. Michael is always around to help out and if he isn't at the front desk, he's cleaning somewhere. Dorms are nice and the beds are comfortable. This is a hostel where people end up extending their stay (as is the town, Sucre). If I could complain about anything, I would say that the internet is slow (but it is Bolivia) and there are only 2 showers. FYI, no breakfast here but the market is close and cheap!

This hostel was amazing!! Mike was a great host and worked so hard all the time .. it is close to a main plaza. Only downfall, there are a lot of people who are ¨long term stayers¨ who eat your food from the fridge.

suuuperb. Mike, the man who does everything, is a great host. stayed 10 days. so relaxed. he never once asked me when i was leaving, instead asked why i was leaving when I told him it was time to go. top 3 hostel ive stayed in my 3 months of traveling chile, argentina, and now bolivia.

The hostel is so great. Mike is so nice and helpful. The hostel is very well maintained and so clean. The showers are piping hot and hot water never seemed to run out. The value is great and the location is central. I would 100 % recommend this hostel!

This is a shining example of how a hostel should be run. The owner Mike, is congenial, helpful, flexible and makes you feel very at home in his abode. The beds are the most comfortable I've slept in South America.

This was my second time to stay at Gringos Rincon and I will stay here again when I return. It is a super clean hostel and Mike is a great host making everyone feel at home and providing lots of helpful tips. A super fabulous hostel!

Great hostel. Mike is absolutely great, friendly, helpful and he keeps the place spotless! Really good value for the money. I was in a 4 bed dorms with private bathroom and for the bit more you´ll have to pay, you´ll gain a great peace of mind, not having to run around to find a free bathroom in the morning.

This is one of the absolute best hostels i have ever stayed in. i have been to hundreds of hostels and mike the owner lives up to all the previous reviews. he is a legend and i can not highly recommend this hostel. the hostel does lack a common area inside the buidling. but any downfalls that it may have a MORE than made up for with the hospitality of the owner mike! highly recommended!

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in.Michael is doing a fantastic job.Huge dorm rooms, very comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, great showers, just a few minutes walk from the main Plaza, very cheap laundry, free wifi(not the best, but works ok most of the time),nice little kitchen. There is nothing to dislike about this hostel. The only improvement would be to try and have a private double for couples, and to make the wifi better but they are just small things. The best hostel in Sucre,in fact S.A!

Booked 4 nights and stayed for a week. One of the best hostels in Bolivia. Mike, the guy who owns and runs it, is one of the hardest working people in the world. Only downsides are no breakfast and no indoor common area but the roof terrace is great. For the price of the dorms is a great place to stay. Really good showers with tons of hot water, uper clean and secure to get in or out. Book ahead. Would totally recommend.

Although I changed my plans and didn't end up staying here, Mike was very generous and helpful. He allowed me to use the facilities and didn't charge me for cancelling my booking. The building is very cool and close to the centre of town.

Cons: no indoor living / lounge area, no small or large lockers for valuables, sheets were a bit thin and pilled. Pros: beautiful, new, clean facility; excellent views from the terrace; hot showers, clean bathrooms; great location; friendly, accomodating staff. Recommendations for owner: add a few small lockers in the room so that a few small items can be stashed during the day. Excellent hostel but not perfect...

I cant rate this hostel highly enough. Its the cleanest i´ve stayed in in the whole of south america, the beds are strong and comfortable and the kitchen might be small but its fully equipped with everything you need and is always spotless. Mike the owner is a total legend! he´s receptionist, cleaner, night doorman, house keeper and generally an all round nice guy! keep up the good work mike! we´ve recommended this place to our friends and wouldnt hesitate to come back..

Yeah, the wi-fi isn't really fast, but it's ok. I spend just one night but it's a good hostel, near from the historic places and with good beds and the baths are clean.
