Nice clean and comfortable little hostel/guesthouse in the peculiar building that is Chungking Mansions. The best thing about the hostel is Simon, a friendly, helpful and efficient host - he was always on hand when you needed him. The only downside to the hostel is you have to take a lift up from ground floor, and the lift is tiny so only takes about 4/5 people at a time, so be prepared to wait a while. Alternatively take the steep, dirty stairs. The hostel is in a great location too!

Very clean! It's so hard to find a guest house that clean in that building. Simon is also very friendly. Highly recommended.
Simon's hostel is located in a scary building, but it can add some adventure to your trip. And to be honest, we didn't have any problem or security concerns. The location is simply perfect for city exploring. Rooms is very tiny, just bed and bathroom, no window, no extra space or wardrobe. Simon takes care of the cleanness, changes the bedding and towels and cleans the room EVERY DAY! The bed was comfortable enough (me 175 cm), AC and other appliances were working. Simon is a trustful person!
The room itself was great! Simon did a great job of keeping it tidy, replacing the bed sheets and towels on a very regular basis. The lobby of the hotel made us a bit nervous, however!
Perfect location in Hong Kong! Simon (the owner) is a nice and very helpful person! Excellent place to stay in Hong Kong
Simon, the hostel owner, was lovely and extremely accommodating despite the fact that we were only staying one night. He allowed me to use the hostel phone to try and track down my stolen camera and let us store our bags for free until we needed to leave. The room was spacious, it had a window and was spotless. However, the hostel is in Chunking Mountains, which is pretty grim and it is not fun having to queue up to get into a lift with lots of weird Asian men. Though the hostel itself is safe.
Small and a little cold, but Simon was great. He gave us everything we needed and was always available to help us or answer any question. You couldn't tell from outside, but the hostel was really quiet. Thanks, Simon. 감사합니다!
The hostel was a good experience. The room was indeed small, but well equipped. I recommend the hostel.
Simon was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location close to the Metro and walking distance to the night market and pier. The only drawback was the 1 slow elevator, however we took the stairs.

The Guangdong Guest House lived up to it's good reviews. Simon is a really nice host who thinks about lots of little details, like providing DVDs to watch in your room. He was very professional and made us feel secure and relaxed. The room was clean and met all of our needs. The stay was straightforward and easy from check-in to check-out. Nice place, nice host. Thanks again Simon.
The guangdong hostel misses a common room. Except that, it's a very good place to stay!
