The hostel is good and the charge is reasonable. The location is excellent and there's subway just in front of the mansion.

The room is very clean with seperate toilet and shower, which is not very common in Chungking mansion. That's a big plus. Simon is a friendly guy to, and location is good. If you don't like Chunking don't go, if you dont mind, this is probably one of the better options to stay in.

This hostel is pretty awesome when you take into account the really crappy selection of hostels in Hong Kong. Simon, the owner, does everything for you and cleans the room every single day. We got new towels each day, had new sheets, and Simon was super helpful in any questions we had. He gives excellent directions on how to get there via email before so it was very easy to find. I would recommend this hostel to anyone going to Hong Kong.

Loved this place even though it was a little unnerving at first. Glad that Simon made clear to look for Chinese Simon and no one else. Very clean with hotel cleanliness and room refreshing. Helpful and near everything! Glad they also had the necessary converters for us to borrow along with a hair dryer.

The location of this hostel was great, close to everything. The room however, was tiny. I had booked a quad room (for 2 adults and 2 kids), it had 2 double beds with about 30cms between them. The apartment block where the hostel is was also a bit sleazy, I wouldn't have felt comfortable on my own.

This guesthouse has everything you need. Very clean and the location is great, close to the MTR, buses to everywhere, restaurants, bars, and so on. Simon is always open to help you whatever you need. I do not hesitate to stay there when I go back to HK.

The time in this hostel was wonderful. Simon is very helpful and is perfect in his hospitality. I have never been in a hostel in HK with that kind of service. He even changes the towels everyday and he is making up thew room. Same as in a hotel! Great job and keep going...I will come back next month for sure! Greets Herbert

First of all, it's very very clean which is so rare to find in HK hostels (believe me! I'd been to quite a few). Second, the great hospitality of the owner. We had a great stay at Guangdong Guesthouse. The hostel is really well maintained and clean. Simon is really really nice. We love the location as well! It was also a plus that we have free wifi, unlike most hotels in HongKong where you have to pay extra to access the net.

the location of the hostel is great, just few steps aways from attractions and you will have many dining, shopping choices there. Before i stay there, i were a little bit afraid the security cuz the chonking building is famous for its "mass", but when i got there, no pass-by disturb me, or try to sell their bags.and there are secutity staff there,it's safe. the room we stay for one night is tiny,but it's quite clean,and you have everything you need, simon, the host is very friendly and helpful!

Hi Simon! This is from Susan, I just stayed there over the Christmas weekend. Your hostel is an oasis in the midst of a crazy city! The nicest part of it was the room's cleanliness, you even changed my bed after only 2 nights sleep, I felt kind of guilty, because it was still clean! Thank you for straightening up my mess each day, for the comfy bed, for all the details of comfort, for making Christmas unique and special. I will love to come and visit again! You helped make HK amazing!

Simon is an amazing host

The room was tiny but very clean with many facilities including TV, refrigerator and shower. Wifi was available and quick. Mansion building was even worse than I thought, but I recommend this hostel to you, as Simon is a good guy. You can ask him almost any thing locally, for instance, where to eat, how to transport, etc.

Me and my fiancé were a bit scary of staying in Chungking Mansions because of all those warnings. But in fact it was great to be there. At first, we booked only one night there at Guandong Guesthouse, but when we arrived and saw a room, we calm a bit and decided to stay there for whole week. RECAP: Safe, clean, convenient. Great English-speaking owner Saimon available anytime. Strongly recommend.

It was such a privilage to stay at Guangdong Guest House. Mr. Simon was a wonderful host and ensured everything a weary traveller could ever need, was easily accessible. I always felt safe and everything was super clean. Thank you for a wonderful stay, I will definitely stay there again in future.

For a first timer, Chungking Mansion was a nightmare especially when you arrived at late hours like us. But once you reach the inside of the hostel it is quite a relief. Guangdong Hostel is very clean. Simon the manager is very kind, friendly n helpful. The rooms were cleaned everyday n the towels chanGED everyday. Even the bedsheets were changed after 2 nights. We checked out early but able to leave our bags with Simon at no extra change. My daughter left her phone and Simon kept it for us.

Simon was very accomodating and is doing well with the customer. Only the first night in the room was no good for i am asthmatic and I could smell the strong smell of whats cooking adjacent to my room. I talked with simon that night and ask if i could be transferred to another room and on the next day the room was already ready for transfer. My stay was good and my belongins are well secured...

Simon is such a great host! He is so friendly and hard working and helpful. A surprisingly clean and nice in the city.
