The description of the Yh was probably done by copy and paste. Non of the things mentionned in the description were accurate. I stayed just long enough to repack and leave for a proper hotel. Sorry, never again.

Very unimpressed by this hostel. Possibly one of my worst stays in a hostel to date, and I've stayed in dozens. I started typing a long detailed review, but there is no space. The gist of it. Place was overcrowded, and they changed my booking without telling us. We ended up getting placed in the check in room, where people had to walk through our room to get to a bathroom etc. There were 4 of us, they gave us 2 pillows... the pillows were dirty. There are no locks on any of the doors,

The staff was friendly for the most part, but seemed slightly unorganised. There is no reception desk, and nothing is marked so we were unsure of where to go to check in. We had to wait about fifteen minutes at the front door before anyone came to help (after ringing a bell), and we were told that the owner was still asleep (it was around 10:00 in the morning). There is only one shower, and two toilets (one for men, the other for men and women). The kitchen area seemed okay, but I didn't use it

I booked a 4 person dorm and got a 6 person dorm. A staff member also slept there and set his alarm at 5am, 7 times every morning. The bed or should I say wood was very uncomfortable. Comming from a person who has slept on stone kitchen floors. My hips felt painful after `sleeping` for 2 nights. At night time you have to be quiet and after 22.30 its lights out. I wonder if anyone ever cleaned. It had a roof though... ganbaru to anyone staying there.

The \'annex\' that we stayed in seemed to be some poor girls apartment and we were a 5 minutes walk from the actual hostel. It was difficult to use the hostels facilities but the staff and girl who lived in the apartment were all very friendly and helpful.

Staff barged into the female dorm without knocking. Bunk beds are "homemade" and held together by nails. Does not seem safe. Not very clean and the welcome was not professional.

The actual room was in a separate apartment building that was difficult to find. Too many people were crammed into one room (only enough space for 8 futons to be crammed side-by-side with no walking space). The place was incredibly dirty. Guest are not given keys, instead a single key for the entire apartment is just left outside the door (if anyone actually bothers to lock it). The communal entrance to the block of apartments is locked at night, with no door code provided.Overcharged at arrival

This is the only place I stayed in Japan, so I don't know if it's typical - very cramped and the dorm smelled a little dirty, which a returning guest commented on too. But it's a good price in Fukuoka and close to bus and train connections. Generous breakfast too.

The facilities were very poor. Only 1 shower/bathroom and 2 toilets for all the people staying there. The whole place was very dirty and needed a good clean. The doors to the common room and the kitchen were always closed so there was no feeling of being a part of the hostel environment. When I got there there was no front counter/reception area and the man who took my money didnt even know how much I owed. It was only when I checked my booking I found he had overcharged me.

Aloha hostel is an amazing place. If you are looking for a place clean, organised and calm this is not the right place for you. But if you are looking for a place where to meet japanese people and foreigners, and have a lot of fun with them, this is the perfect place!! My boyfriend had his birthday there and it was awesome!

500 characters is not enough - Lack of organization - Lack of cleanliness - Lack of respect of customers - Lack of security - Lack of following building codes (to the point where stuffing 6 people into a tiny room, 3 tatami mats) - Lack of communication (between staff and owner and/or customers) - Charging more at the door (Paid 10% on hostelworld for registration but had to pay that plus more when arrived at hostel) These are just a few. Please contact to hear full explanation.

Good for a night but I wouldn`t stay there for more than 2 days. Only 1 shower and no lock on the door.

I enjoyed a lot my (unfotunately) short stay at Aloha Spirit. The staff was definitely the best I saw during my time in Japan. English is not a problem there. But, nights can be freezing during winter...
