The hostel itself is not much to look at, but it was a good price for a two bed private room, with actual beds too. There weren't too many toilets or showers available, but the bath area was nice. They also provided a number of extras like towels, robes, and slippers in the rooms, also had a number of items available if needed. So looks, not so good, but clean, good space, plenty of items available and decent location.

If there is personal locker for guest in dorm it would be perfect.

Lovely guesthouse in Kyoto! Nori was very helpful and gave us lots of ideas of places to visit in Kyoto. This guesthouse is very peaceful and has a nice common area to meet other travellers.

They were wonderfully accommodating and very nicely located. I would definitely visit them again if I ever get the chance to come back to Kyoto!

This is a traditional home stay. It's quiet and cozy, so expect to get to know the others staying there and the owner who is the sweetest man. There's minimal privacy, but the beds do have curtains. It's pretty strict on noise so don't go here if you're looking to be rowdy. Overall, we had a great experience here!

Great place and in terms of house rules and facilities very Japanese. it makes for a great cultural experience to stay there. You just have to move super slow and carefully at night yo avoid noise and also the common room was quite cold.

Would definitely stay at here again when in Kyoto! Nori-san was a wonderful host and did a great job providing information / helpful hints. He also created a great communal area! Things to note, if you're going to stay here: 1) This is not a hostel, it is a guesthouse. This means that it is small and you are staying in someone's home. If you're looking for the large party hostel, this isn't it. 2) It is a traditional Japanese home, so it is very very cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
