I could not recommend Yululu more highly - it is easily one of the most gorgeous hostels I have stayed in anywhere it the world. But it's not even a hostel... it's more serene, homely, friendly, clean than any other hostel. The "dorm" is so clever - everyone has their own little sleeping cubby with a private storage alcove, and the whole space is a fabulous fusion of tradition Japanese architecture and modern living solutions. Totally in love and will definitely be back - thank you Yululu!!!

The staff was extremely friendly and helped us with any issues. The hostel is located in a very convenient area and we could reach many places just by walking. Kyoto, of course, is amazing.

This place is great! It maybe small, but its really cheap, the location its great, and the staff of the hotel its the best!

Very good location, near the subway. The guesthouse is small, so are the rooms. We stayed at the traditional japanese room, which was ok for me, but my husband thought that the mattress was very thin. Overall, nice place to stay.

This was an easy going and friendly guest house. It was really just like being in a home with a single kitchen, shower, toilet etc. but this worked well for us. Small rooms but love the Japanese style and Tatami mats.
