The hostel is clean and safe; staff is helpful and friendly; and it is near shopping and eating places. It is within walking distance to the Namba Nankai station with lots of convenience stores around the hostel.

The hostel staff (Vishnu) was very helpful and friendly. He made our stay feel a lot more personal and fun. He'd give you alot of tips and tricks, and he even refilled our water bottles for us. The location of the hostel is great, it's near a metro and it's very close to Dotomburi. Overall, great stay!

Kind smile at the reception and extremely helpful! The rooms were clean and had all the facilities I would expect of a hostel. I was in a 2 bed dormitory style room, and was quite spacious considering some of the hotel rooms I've previously stayed in before (despite having paid twice the price! ) They also held our bags for us on the departure day which allowed us a last lunch and shopping (which was well needed!)

Installing a sound proof door would be a good investment as we can hear clearly when other people open and close their door, or even someone talking on the reception area (we are staying on the 3rd floor). Great staff (vishnu) and location (2 mins walking from dotonburi). Will definitely recommend this place to other people.

The location is what makes this hostel a good pick in Osaka. The place is at the heart of Osaka's most famous entertainment district Dotonbori, and the shopping areas of Shinsaibashi and Ame-Mura are withing a walking distance.

Excellent location for shopping and eating (just three minutes from Dotorbori and 7 mins from Shinsaibashi.) Very close to the metro where u can get to Kobe and Nara without transferring. The staff is very helpful and kind. And the hostel is relatively cheap, comparing to others hotels/hostels in the same area. But the toilet in the room is very small and the light in the room is quite dim.

Very Convienient location, just a 2min walk to Osakas dontonburi street! Issues where looking for the hotel as its not described properly! We got stuck around a prossy joint for a while late at night. Whe you see te Santa retreat on your right you must keep walking straight through a dark lane way and cross the road. WIfi only works in lobby, get that fixed because the rooms are so comfortable!

This hostel was amazing!!! Our room was SO big that when we arrived we asked if we'd made a mistake and were sharing with another couple - nope! We had the whole massive room to ourselves, for the price of an average hostel! It was also in a very good location - so close to Namba, Doutonbori and Shinsaibashi, but still quiet at night! The wifi worked in our room as well. Highly recommended place to stay!

overall a very good hostel. found it a little on the small side and thus the social experience was lacking. Very friendly and overly helpful staff. Would definately stay there again. Location is awesome.

The hostel felt really more like a hotel. Just Vishnu the staff guy was different from a budget hotel experience and made the stay a lot more personal and nicer. He was always there to just have chat to or ask advice. He event let me check in earlier and I was able to leave my bags in the hostel after check-out and pick them up later in the evening.

Great manager, he is extremely helpful and kind, he even helped me out while I was sick. The rooms are very good size and comfortable with personal bathroom which is great, but no wifi in rooms at the moment. Place is very clean and perfect location, right next to Dotombori st.

The service was absolutely great at this hotel! The staff really cares about your stay and makes sure that you are having a great time. They are also very knowledge about the Osaka area and will often give you advice on where to go and what to do there! Also it is right downtown in Osaka meaning you can go out and walk back to the hostel. Even though, there isn't a TV in the hostel and wi fi is downstairs. The service makes up for it and everything is clean too!

We really enjoyed our stay at La Kongo - fantastic location, just outside the busy part of Dotombori. Our room was comfortable, although very small (but great value for money). The only issue was that the on-floor wifi wasn't working, however we could use it while sitting in reception. Overall, a great stay!

Very nice and clean place and close to a subway station. Only thing we didn't like was that the wi-fi only worked downstairs, so we had to walk all the way from the top floor to bottom and then back again.
