Guesthouse Akureyri Reviews

Guesthouse Akureyri is clean and the location is good, right in the city center, close to all the shops and restaurants. The staff are very nice. After my booking, I received an email from the guesthouse and was told that the price of a twin room on hostelworld.com was per room instead of per person. So we paid less than we expected.

Perfect spot if you want to chill out and relax....not if you want to meet other travellers though.......

Great place to stay. I left my passport there and didnt realize until I was back in Reykavik. Man on duty was very friendly (had helped with where to go earlier). I was so grateful that he went above and beyond to send me my passport on the next flight between akureyri and reykavik with the pilot of the plane. i made my flight, and am very indebted to him. highly recommend this place for a stay in akureyi.

Very good value for money, excellent location in the centre of Akureyri. Maybe guests should be informed beforehand that they have to pick up their keys at Hotel Akureyri, which is opposite the bus terminal. I ended up having to carry my luggage back there because I was only informed by a note on the guesthouse's door.

Very nice hostel! Rooms were gorgeous and wide enough, ensuite bathroom very clean, and you can have breakfast at the close hotel for quite a reasonable price, and food's very nice (said by an italian!). Price isn't that cheap, but all was perfect. Definitely a good stay to reccomend.
