Great hostel in a very cool market area. Clean, comfortable, great staff, everything was wonderful. The owner, Koji, also has a business doing sake tastings with foreigners, and did one for a few of us the night I stayed. This was one of the highlights of my trip, and is well worth doing if you have the chance. We'll definitely stay again the next time we're in Osaka.

Caminoro hostel offers a stay in a "not touristy" area in Osaka, just a few stops from Umeda, only 1 stop from Shinkansen Shin-Osaka station. It is family run, staff is excellent and extremely helpful, try one of the Sake tastings with certified guides inside the hostel, it was a nice experience! Sometimes, dorm beds are not offered, it is worth it to ask if more beds are available. Thumbs up for Koji and his family run place! :)

Spotlessly clean and relatively spacious for Japan. Very comfy beds and good kitchen/communal area. Hosts are lovely, speak fluent english and spanish. Not central, but on a covered street full of all sort of shops and real japanese life. We were very happy there.

Everything is definitely okay there! The staff are definitely helpful and friendly, the bb daughter is cute. The room is quite big for me. It's quite convenient to go to the metro station, I enjoyed a night in this local community with delicious food very much! I will visit there again if I go to Osaka.

Nice place to stay. It is more a family place though. Has a nice common area and a well-equipped kitchen. A bit 'over organized' with a lot of 'do and do'nt' post-its. Friendly owner. Bathrooms are OK. There is a really nice breakfast place close by, the owner will tell you. The location is not perfect if you want to discover the nightlife of Osaka, since the subway is only running until midnight

The owners of this hostel are lovely and we really enjoyed or stay in the traditional Japanese room. our quite handy being between two different rail lines (Mikuni and Higashimikuni) - we find the later, which is slightly further away especially handy as it is one stop from Shin-Osaka (although perhaps a20 mine walk down the road, but it's a nice road, popular with local pedestrians and cyclists. The hostel is very clean and there are some great food stalls around as well as a supermarket.
