Great breakfast in the morning, nice turn-down service and cleaning of the room during the day, GREAT reviews and maps on what to do and where to go during our time in Coimbra. We got a really great sense of the city and were helped extensively by the staff to figure out how to get places.

This is a cute Guesthouse up the top of a very steep hill so I do recommend catching a taxi if you have Luggage and/or no map. The two Dutch ladies that own it are very helpful and friendly and will tell you everything to see on arrival which was very helpful. The Breakfast is also really well set up with different Breads, Spreads, Cereals, Soya Products, Fruit, Yogurt and much more. Keep in mind though that the guesthouse has 3 floors so it can be a bit of a climb like the rest of the town.

Cute place. It's well located near the university but a walk up the hill to get there from the river. The breakfast is great, the beds are comfy and the staff are really friendly.

The owners of Casa Pombal were so friendly and inviting! Really, the warm welcome really sets this place apart. The breakfast was really excellent. Very plentiful, varied, and fresh. There is charming decoration, quiet rooms, a lush garden terrace to enjoy. A great place for couples and families, and good prices. Highly recommended.

Worth staying just for the amazing breakfast! Otherwise its in the old town not the new one (not a far walk just hilly)
