Good accommodation, but don't buy beer here, because it is as much expensive as it would be in bars.

Definitely not worth your money. I stayed in 3 different hostels while in Reykjavik. Guesthouse Egilsborg was the most expensive (way more expensive than the other 2 hostels), but it had the worst service.

Great little guesthouse. The staff were really friendly and the host went out of her way to accommodate our late arrival, make us feel at home and offer advice that really helped with our stay. Will visit again. Hopefully sooner rather than later, Iceland is amazing.

very quiet - barely see anyone else staying there so thats good but the kitchen was REALLY small and not many bathrooms (clean though). Location right by the main roads so access around is simple, can walk everywhere. Rooms could use blackout curtains or darker ones since the sun is up so late, it was hard to sleep at times because of the sun shining in constantly.

This is the perfect place to start any expedition to downtown Reykjavik. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the place was very nice - especially when you consider the price.

Good location in the city; not in the middle of the nightlife, but close enough to easily walk, and the street is quiet as a result. Restaurants and the market are pretty close by—must plug Ban Thai here as it very surprisingly was some of the best Thai I've had since I lived in LA. Single rooms were small, but good for traveling solo and light. Sometimes the staff was a little hard to find, but everyone was friendly and easy going.
