the owner is super nice and the room is a steal. we had a private room with two bunk beds, private bathroom. really clean! the owners also has great recommendations for great restaurants. yum!
Clean, comfortable and modern guesthouse with friendly staff. Good location within walking distance of Nara Park. One of the few places we stayed in in Japan with an ensuite bathroom!
Ten miinutes from JR Nara station and very close to all Nara's sights. Owner was very helpful/nice and let us check in early (a first!). Rooms were immaculate. No real common area, just a couch at reception but was ideal for what we needed it for - a short stay in Nara. Would recommend and go back there if we go back to Nara.
Only stayed here for 1 night so can't really comment on the atmosphere and facilities as didn't get to explore these much. Location is great being close to the 2 main stations and walking distance to the main sights and attractions. Owner was very helpful and friendly, helped us find restaurants and book reservations. Even offered a free umbrella as we were leaving for koya-san. Rooms were clean and reasonable size. If you stay here you should eat at Kura. Ask Jun for directions.
Jun, the owner, couldn't be more helpful and has excellent recommendations for food and touring around Nara. Would highly recommend the Iki Hotel.

The owner is a kind young entrepreneur who is very willing to take that extra mile in order to make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. The location simply could not have been better. Make no mistake, Kintetsu Nara station has by far the best location to view all of Naras sights and also conveniently frequent it's many fine restaurants and pubs. The only recommendation I would give to the owner is to provide a coin washing machine and some cheap towels from the 100 yen store.
small self catering kitchen just adequate however many good restaurants nearby. most major sights are within walking distance. owner/manager is helpful with adequate English. Heijo palace (by bus) is outstanding but HUGE
