Guest House Iki is a cut above the rest. We stayed for 2 nights in Nara, (there is lots to do!) in a private room with ensuite. The room was modern, clean and functional. Bathroom was stylish and more spacious than other hostels we have stayed at. Free wifi works well in rooms. Location was central to all the main Nara attractions, eg Deer Park and local delicious cuisine - all walking distance. Jun was an exceptional host. Always interested in making stay better. Great value for what you get!

Shortcoming: our room was right on the lobby and living room, so it was fairly noisy.

My parents stayed in this hostel. It was first time for them to stay in a hostel and they liked it a lot! Very good quality overall and super nice staff. Also location is very convenient: quiet but still close to all the shops in downtown Nara. I also visited this hostel and it looked very nice. I have stayed in maaaany hostels in Japan and this seemed like one of the best ones.

Really lovely hostel in a great location. The guy who worked there was really nice and gave us some great recommendations of places to see and restaurants to eat at. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed in Guesthouse Iki for 5 days, I have to say that more than a "guesthouse" or "Hostel" this is really a Mini Hotel, is always clean and the installations are very modern. One awesome feature is that it is in waking distance to the top rated locations in Nara and has a lot of dining (from cheap to higher prices) options in walking distance. The Atmosphere of the place is superb and the owner always helps you in every question and request that I had with a smile.

AIthough it's inside the street and would be a bit difficult to find at the first time, its location is quite good. You can go to many tourist spots by foot, such as Todaiji Temple and Nara Park. And the hostel is very clean!!!! The staff is very kind as well :)

Loved our stay here. The staff we fantastic and the place was great. It's very new so nice and clean. Our room was quite spacious (4 people on 2 bunk beds). We would definitely recommend this guest house to anybody planning a visit to Nara.
