The location was incredibly close to Kanazawa Eki, and thus the major hub to get anywhere in Kanazawa. The host was overwhelmingly helpful and friendly, and the rooms were lovely and comfortable as long as you are okay with traditional Japanese tatami/futon-style!

Really nice owner, showed me how to see the city on foot with his fabulous map. Less than a 10 minute walk from the station (although BEWARE, the Lonely Planet guide puts this hostel on the wrong street). Nice kitchen, shower, common space, etc. REALLY squishy in the dorm though, tatami bedding right next to one another. Usually you get more privacy/space for the same price.

The female dorm wasn't private at all - no curtains separating you from other people staying there.

The owner of the hostel is really nice and it felt like a home away from home. The hostel is super cosy, relaxed and the location is really good too. I would always go back to this hosetl.
