Good location within walking distance from downtown. Security is ok if all doors are kept locked as instructed. Rooms could be more clean.

The rooms were not in the main building, we think this should be written on the website. Moreover both rooms we've been in were not very clean.

if you are a single backpacker looking for a bed to crash, nothing else (and i mean the nothing) or a student/worker/whatever desperate for accommodation (my case) and ready to settle for anywhere off the wind (though in that case you might want to look up couch surfing), then it will answer your needs. in ANY other situation, look for something else :D NO KITCHEN! STAFF AWFUL! NO SECURITY! INTERNET NOT WORKING! NO BREAKFAST!

A bit hard to check in, it took long time for the staff to get there. And some of the employess spoke rather bad english.

Small place, with rooms and a big messy dorm. Sure you can get to the dorm from the street with no need for a key, but you're still in reykjavik, not exactly crime central.. Nothing special really, but 2 mins walk from city center, big bus stop round the corner, walking distance to domestic airport and BSI..ok for a night right before/after your flight

The 20 bedroom hostel was actually really good. There were no bunk beds but cubicles with single beds instead. It felt more private than most shared hostel rooms. I slept like a baby regardless of the impolite staff and everything being subpar. There was no kitchen which was very disappointing. It was about a 15 min walk downtown.

To be honest, this is probably the worst place I stayed in Iceland. With one exception, the staff were unhelpful and just seemed rather disinterested. Cleanliness was poor. The dorm is a very desperate choice. Had I the choice again, I would choose the local campsite.
