They manager is late, rude, and feels as though he is doing you a favor in renting you a room. But, that\'s the last I had to deal with him. The rooms are basic but, comfortable for me. A clean bed decent pillow. privacy and the bathrooms were, okey. I\'ve seen better and worse, also. The location is a bit a distance form downtown areas. It is quite a walk but, the value it represents is good. I have no problem walking, to a point. The transport in Reykjavik is marginal.

The dorms are just beds in a big top floor room, separated by cubicles. No lock to get in the building or the dorm room. Showers downstairs. All the tap water reeks of sulfur. Breakfast is surprisingly good.

A NIGHTMARE, AVOID THIS PLACE. The boss is insolently rude, drove us at 100 km/h downtown -without looking the road- to a gloomy flat in a suburb area (not what we booked) where we found some bogeys and holes on the blankets. He insulted my wife and threatened me with death when I noticed this to him. I reported him to the cops. Avoid this guy, he's insane and has no respect for anybody (even his employees), a shame and on sense for such a business in wonderful Iceland.

The manager is rude; argues with his staff infront of you and treats you like an unwelcomed guest. Only posiitive is breakfast is included in the price, even though hygeine is a question.

About the hostel: the looks were a bit poor (broken blinds e.g.), but the staff was very helpful. During our stay, my brother had to visit a doctor and we needed to stay an extra night. The girl who worked there (Magdalene?) was very helpful: she arranged that we could stay another night in the same room, advised me where to go, offered to take us there by car (which was very kind, but not necessary), and once we had returned from the hospital, she knocked on the door to ask if she could b
