Location is great, near the downtown. The breakfast is also very nice. But the dorm room is in B1, the air is not so good and also the reception is not so friendly. Beside that, everything is great!

There were some major organizational problems with rooms at the hostel, however, the staff gave us an upgrade in room as compensation. The included breakfast was also fantastic.
Great place to stay for a few days, near old town. Breakfast is amazing. Clean dorms, however the lockers are outside the rooms. Severe lack of power points.
Staying in 9 people dorm is a gamble. Hope for someone who doesn´t snore or someone that happens to be a truck driver and has to get up at 4am and startsmoaning about life as he gets dressed.
I had a pleasant stay at the hostel, it is nice, the staff is absolutely helpful. The location is great, easy to find. It doesn't have the real hostel atmosphere, but that's understandable, it is a guest house after all. I would choose it again if I went to Salzburg.
The one staff member that checked us in was very impatient, but the other ones we talked with in the morning were very chipper and helpful! ALSO, THE BREAKFAST IS TO DIE FOR. Best hostel breakfast ever! The bathrooms can get kind of gross and smelly but other than that, the rooms are great and the locker system is extremely helpful.. I am staying here again on my return trip to Salzburg!
Hostel was too big and seemed to be family orientated with lots of school kids about. Staff were disinterested at best, one was rude. Had to pay to use lockers. I slept in a bunk above what was apparently a permanent homeless resident - an interesting experience. On the plus side, the free breakfast was excellent!
Jufa is a hotel and completely lacks the atmosphere expected of hostel. The staff were rude on occasions and wifi could only be accessed from the lobby. The door to the all female dorm was broken so it would not close without a lot of force, which mean't it stayed unlocked half the time. Only plus was the free breakfast, which had a great selection.
Staff was unfriendly and not accommodating. The showers were literally horrible. They smelt absolutely horrible and it seemed as if they have not been cleaned in decades. I would not recommend this hostel to my worst enemy. Hopefully they can get their act together. The only bright side to this hostel was their breakfast. This was very much so up to my standards.

Not a hostel, hotel with some dorm rooms. Staff were dismissive and a little bit rude, had to put the movie on myself but no big deal. Good location, short walk to the sights of Salzburg, cheap cab right from the hauptbahnof
Great hostel, friendly staff, close to the city center. The breakfast is amazing, and watching "The Sound of Music" at night is fun. The hostel is less of a youth hostel and more of a guesthouse for families and groups traveling together, so many families and kids stay there too. This, combined with the large size of the hostel, made meeting people difficult, so the atmosphere was lacking a bit. Still, a great place to stay!
It's an old-school youth hostel with a different twist. One should expect school children rather than backpackers. Although the Jufa comes with a kind staff, a convenient location and good amenities, the bunk beds in small basement dorms are the drawback here. Nevertheless, it still offers good value for money.
Jufa was a very average hostel if you could call it that. It was over crowded with school groups during our stay, who were very noisy at all hours. The wifi only works right near reception and has ridiculous guest names and passwords that are impossible to memorise during your stay. The cleaning staff would come into your room at 8.30 to clean after check outs, even though check out is 10. The buffet breakfast was the only good part. I wouldn't be staying here again anytime soon.
Awesome hostel and very clean! Not the best atmosphere for a solo traveler, though. Harder to make friends than other hostels.
This is not a hostel, more kids camp hotel. No common area or kitchen and children running around everywhere. Cleaner came into the room at 9am every morning to clean. Breakfast was good but thats about it.
The location is 30 minutes walking from train station, but 5 minutes walking to town center. Breadfast is good, room is clean and safe. But, no enough plugs in rooms and public area, very inconvenient.
Jufa is a hostel for everyone not just young people. It doesn't have the same feel as a small youth hostel where you get to know the other guests. It is a big operation. It is clean and nice though!

Staff were friendly, the was room small but clean and the common area very nice. Extremely good breakfast in comparison to other hostel breakfasts I've had. Great value for money!
