We really enjoyed our stay. What was a little disturbing is the doorbell which was very loud and somehow was used in the middle of the night?????

far from center if you go walking, the location is up a high hill, confusing streets out there, you can't find they way alone without a taxi. but for the money you pay, you shuldn't think it will be expensive. very kind owner and staff. it smells like cigarettes everywhere, everyone smokes, even the staff. for dutch people: the dutch ambassade is 100m away. there's a little grocery store in the street, and also a good hairdresser. on the hill, 300m away, there are restaurants good and cheap.

Velania was a good place to stay. Itdoesnt take you long into the city but it is very hilly so the way back up can be very exhausting. The place was ok for the money and the staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms where clean and equipped with fridge and tv. Wifi also worked good. Around the hostel were a few good places to eat.

Great value for money and the professor is adorable
