Would recommend this place for location, cleanliness. The breakfast at 12euros a bit pricey though. And the \"monastery\" concept doesn\'t deliver the aura you would expect. But for two nights it\'s OK.

It was totally great that the night watcher came out of bed to let us in at 4 o'clock in the morning. Taxi was also called for us when we left. Amazing service and very nice staff. Highly recommended!

Its always nice here-I dont know why?I think cos its so close to town centre and the Irish bar!But there is a heck of a lot of character-a blend of modern with ancient (normally v nice).I know I'm not the easiest guy-but the staff here are pretty damm nice and it always comes out nice somehow.I really think they have a great underlying attitude.I like them all anyway (and I'm really not the easiest of guys to please). It's just really pleasant with them.

This is a great pick for those who can afford some extra euros for a good sleeping night. Rooms are spotless, the whole enviroment brings you back a century ago - you get a feeling of what Ghent used quite likely to be - and location is very good. Recommended!

Nice place to stay. The 1 person rooms have just what they need: a bed. The guesthouse isn't as fun as an hostel can be, but is more like an hotel. Besides that you should be on one of the many terraces in Gent.

Location was very good, very close to the historic centre. The feel of the place was quite fun too, living in a monastery! Free internet a big plus.

I was born in Ghent: it is always fun to come back here (especially in summertime). Ghent is really beautiful. Certainly worth a 2-3 day stay... people are nice, bars are pleasant, shopping is good, restaurants are excellent,... I am not sure about value for money, but this place is really located BANG in the city centre, you couldn\'t find a better location, even if you wanted to. Plus it is clean with LOTS of character. Definitely enjoyed my stay here. Recommended.

Not necessarily known for its fun, but this was definitely the best place (hotel/hostel) I've ever stayed in. But who can really match a medieval monastery? Beautiful and relaxing place to stay. I've been bragging to all my friends and family about this place. You can walk to most of Ghent's attractions from this converted monastery.
