Very nice place, staff extremely nice and helpful - felt very well taken care of. A little far from Nara itself though.

This is one of the nicest hostels I ever saw!!! The rooms are superb, the staff is very kind and helpfull, and even if the hostel is a bit outside Nara it is definitely worth a visit. Next time I'm in Japan I will make sure to stop by!

They have a communal room to meet other people, and also they have a nintendo Wii and free internet. Very traditional building, and the japanese breakfasts were great.

i must pay for 2 persons and the staff don't find a solution for me, that was bad. I book over hostelworld, where I can not change the booking, only 2, really bad, you must change it

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The staff was very very nice and the building is amazing! It's just 1-2 minutes from the Oji station in Nara, so not the main Nara Station, but it's really easy to visit Osaka and the main Nara station from here. It's also definitely worth it to go cycling near the guest house to see some older buildings, which are hard to find in all the big cities!

Very nice accommodation and friendly staff, but... be careful, it is not in Nara at all ! It is located in Oji, 15min by train to Nara station. The bar has mediterranean food, which we appreciated as we were a bit tired of Japanese food.

Shell out the extra cash for this place. It is traditional on a budget. The couple who owns it will make sure you are taken care of. They have thought of everything!

This guest house is not in Nara, but in Oji, 15 minutes on the train away from Nara. There is just about nothing in Oji. The place is clean, safe and well kept, but we were glad we only booked 2 nights. If you want to see Nara simply make it a day trip from Kyoto or Osaka, you will be better off and it will be cheaper.
