The Oasis Inn is the first of its kind by using commodity apartment to be a hostel in the down town here, which is located in a most prosperous section of Central Zhongshan Road of the City. There are about 18 rooms,divided as common and standard levels for you to make choice.The furniture is that sort of used in three-star hotel,equipped with air conditioner, TV,and privat bathroom. On 4th floor, there is a large gardening platform with vines and flowers, wide ,fine and green micro- environment let you feel as if on the first ground,very comfortable and elegant.

Every room has been fixed with internet cable.The locks have been changed completely by new generation ones;the furniture polished and adding up anoher new water-heating system -more convenient now.24h service.
An old expert, Mr. David,at age of 70-80, from Norway,since 2006,every year he stays here for 3-6 months,he enjoys himself with young people who are interesting in study English,recently, the loccal paper reported him for his deeds here.
* Some guests feel regret when they find the tickets for the Li-river cruise,or Terrace Field etc.sold here are much lower than that they reserved at the hall of the airport and in the booking office in the street.but it is too late,if they want to cancel it-must pay 50%.as a fine.

Booking Li-river cruising by motor -boat available, very exciting, especially suitable to young people;
Cable-car in Yao Mountain, 6 km away, also best place to have a bird-view of Guilin City;
Showing to local artistic market to hunt for antique and articles of art& crafts; or to local by-product to buy tea, local special products,etc.,in domestic price.
* Distance to the CAAC BLD is about 2 km., half an hour on foot to reach the Inn; also you can take No.33 bus or No.23 to Xichenglukou Bus Stop and get off,we are here.
Find the Inn by yourself
From railway station to the Inn: Exit the railway station, crossed the main street, then take the direction to the city center, along the road walking through two cross roads, then another 200 meters,( total walking for 10-15 minutes, not necessary to take taxi) then arrived the Inn; You can also take the bus of No.10,11 or 100 ( 1 Yuan) and get off at Xichenglukou Bus Stop, there look up to the 4th floor of the outside of BLD-then you will find a huge "oasis" Signboard in English.
A new air-pump for heating water sys. has set up here,so warm water can afford to supply for bath continuously ,and flow into basin in 24h service,very convenient for guest to wash his/her face in winter.
A Word or Two about Mr. ZHOU JI (Joe),
The Founder of Guilin General Translation Co.,Ltd and Guilin Oasis Inn
Zhou Ji,born in 1951, now as a free man tells his life story--- about 40 Years ago,during the period of the Great Cultural Revolutionhe insisted on studying English by self-taught, 1969-1971 when settled down in a mountainous village, read through 'A Tale of Two Cities', 'Anna Karenina' etc. English version ,under the circumstance of laboring all day long from the morning till the night.
Later on worked as a farmhand and beekeeper in a farm, used spare time to translate some scientific articles and essays into Chinese, and a book< Crop Adaptation and Distribution>.
After graduation from FL Dept. of Guangxi Normal University; become a teacher in Guilin Normal College
1985- 1986 acted as the general manager of Guilin Prefecture Int. Travel Service In 1984, established Guilin Translation Company (NGO).
Achievements: Foreign Language Training Courses : Running FLT courses for more than ten years, trained four thousands trainees and students.
Translated important documents for several millions words for various trades in the society.
In 1994 to Switzerland worked for a big enterprise there for half a month and in 2006 to Egypt for installation of a glass production line there worked as an interpreter for two months.
In 1999,designed and set up the Oasis Inn. Meanwhile, built up a Villa in a ountainous area, which is a project aimed at advocating eco-environmental protection in the up-stream of Lijiang River.
In December 2004, organizing and founding ' The Association of Eco- environmental Protection of Guilin Lijiang River Valley', acted as a legal representative of the association.
In 2006 invited and appointed as an associated professor of China Management Science Institute.
The Thesis of the author ' On Four Liberties of the Citizen' was compiled into 'Collection of Thoughts and Theories of China New Era ', and obtained the first prize conferred by China Management Science Research Institute, for advocating and building up marketing system in China .
