The hostel is really like a 3* hotel!!!i lived in a 3 people family room, the bed is soft and clean. it would be better if the light would be brighter and unfortunately the bathroom had a bit smelly.however mostly it is a good choice to book. The staff is nice and give useful recommandations. The site is good and could be a quiet place to stay.

Great location (10 minutes walk to the city center, in a quiet street at the river with terrace) and friendly staff. We stayed there 2 times and can recommend it. Only if you book a tour check prices around as well (ICTS for example) - you can get a better price.

Staff were nice enough, but the hostel is expensive compared to others in town and the driver they called to take us to DaZhai village near LongSheng tried to rip us off and pushed us to stay at the worst hostel in China.

Excellent staff. Although it's classed as a hostel, the rooms are definitely hotel (and a good hotel) standard. The price is not indicative for the quality of the place... You get a lot more for your money!

The hostel was clean and the staff spoke fluent english. Everything worked well and we enjoyed our stay here even though me and my boyfriend stayed in the bed during our whole stay here (we get cold in Yangshuo :(). Location is excellent if you don´t want to stay in the mainstreet but still very close to everything.

Rooms were fine, big and clean. but, and this is a really big but, the staff didn't know anything about the city and the sorrounding. they speak good english, but not informative at all. they always tell you "you can walk or take a taxi...". with a city full of buses this is for sure not the best or cheapest way to go. they didn't even know which buses to take in order to get to the rice terraces, which is by far the most touristic place in the area.

Quite simple but clean and very nice place with perfect location in the city. Close to everything but calm and quiet, "a litle bit behind". We vere especially content with the nice, englishspeaking staff, and the nonsmoking policy was an important bonus. Thank you. Lars Karlberg, Sweden.

A nice hostel, more of a hotel than a hostel. Its is in a really nice location right by the river, although not all the rooms have a river view, so make sure you ask in advance. Rooms were kept clean and fresh towels delivered every day. The staff were also very friendly and sorted out problems that we had with the tours we booked. One word of advice is don't trust them when they say it will be OK to take your luggage down the river on the bamboo raft, we did it and everything got soaked.

We stayed in a double room with a huge private balcony. The room was nice, spacious and clean. The door to the balcony is hard to close properly and there is no mosquite protection at the window. The wifi connection was excellent in the room (but not in the common area). The common area is pretty small and not very comfortable. It is nearly impossible to meet other people. The hostel is okay (actually it is more like a hotel).

Stunning room. Excellent staff. Brilliant location. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The centralised riverside location was ideal for exploring the town and the lack of vehicular traffic made for a quiet private setting. Our room was such a brilliant breath of fresh air after the relatively cramped quarters of Beijing. The view from our balcony made the stay all the more enjoyable. Highly recommended for top of the line hostel accommodation.

English speaking and very helpful staff (they informed how to go to ricefields without the tour they're selling), good value for the price. Location is not too far away from the train station and the city lakes.

lovely little place near the river . central location, good and easy to walk to the train station. staff is very friendly and welcoming, they speak very good english. rooms are good value ,cheap and clean and big!! some have river view and balcony!! all tours i booked through the guesthouse were excellent -though they should not pretend to go to see ' minority villages' , if the go to an open-air museum with 'villagers' waving at you ; ))

The situation of the hostel right at the riverside is simply a dream. It is a quiet street although you are in the centre of the town (main street and main bus station only a few steps away). If there is noise, then it comes from the opposite riverside, open-air-china-opera every evening included. The house is well kept, the whole staff speaks English fluently and is very helpful. They offer a lot of excursions, our tour to the Li River was unforgettable.
