Guilin Riverside Hostel Reviews

Only stayed briefly on stopover in Guilin. Great location for getting to train and bus stations. Nice location next to river, but easy to get lost down dark alleyways at night. Pleasant and helpful staff. The lobby of the second building was under renovation when we visited.

Nice place, room was immaculate and very clean. Reception area is quite small so not much space to hang out. They sell a few drinks and a cooked breakfast but not much else. Staff were really lovely and helpful. Feels more like a hotel than a hostel.

At the moment (may 2012) the reception is renovated. The ongoing work direct in Front of the room was sometimes a Little loud, but at least they did Not Start bevore 8:30. Everything Else was Perfect.

Very pleasant and friendly. Helpfull and patient.. We will recommend the hostel to anyone we may meet going to Guilin.

Location is good but it'is in a small road, near the river and behind a big hotel. So it's quite but difficult for the taxi to found it.

It was a very nice, clean place, good location, close to everything. The staff were nice and helpful. It is in 2 buildings, which was a little different and they were doing renovations while we were there in the second building. So you had to go through the renovations to go to your room, which wasn't bad, just a little awkward.

It was really good trip with Riverside Inn! Every staffs could speak English as well, so we could get useful information from them therefore have comfortable trip. Otherwise, we could get in trouble.. it was really the case that my other friends who were in different hotel complained us that even staffs couldn't speak English, so they didn't know where to go and what to do. Price of the hostel was more than worthwhile to pay. I would highly recommend you this hostel!

This is more a hotel than a hostel, very clean rooms, good bathrooms and nice tatami beds. It is located at the riverside. Higly recommended. Staff was very friendly and helpful too.

The Riverside Hostel is actually more like a Hotel (2 star), our room was very spacious, everything was clean & tidy with a kettle provided also. The location is excellent, just off the main streets, so quieter and very close to the sights of the city, the train station & Central Square 15min walk away. The Night market is less than 5min away. The en-suite bathroom was ok, but is a basic wet-room style and unfortunately with a small basin with a glass shelf placed perfectly to catch your head.

Amazing location and the tours arranged by the company were great. The rooms were big and very clean, great decorations. Doesn't have the youth hostel atmosphere some may be looking for, may be more appropriate for couples or families.

Extremely helpful staff, spoke great English, helped us book tours that we all loved! Other hostels nearby had better food options. Location was great, and the room was nice and clean. No problems.

Excellent value for money. The bar is cool, bed are hard, locatition is great check out the park next door on a Saturday morning, good staff, very clean, luke warm showers and good WiFi.

My experience of the hostel was limited as I was only planning to stay for 1 day. The room served its purpose however the communal area had no character. Staff were pleasant and helpful and they quoted less than another hostel for the Li River boat tour.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here, the room we're staying was great and comfortable. The staffs were very kind and polite too.

The place was immaculate! Staff was very helpful with booking tours, taxis, fixing breakfast and accomodating clients. I had my cell stolen in Shanghai and was waiting for a replacement. The staff did everything in their power to find out what happened to my package. It arrived the next day. The Li River tour and countryside tour were fantastic!
