Guincho Surf Beachostel Reviews

I went to this hostel expecting it to be a lively and central to shops/ bars. I also went because it is supposed to be a SURF hostel. however, the guy running it didnt take me surfing once for the 2 out of 6 nights i was supposed to stay because the surf was supposedly 'flat' i called another surf company and they took me out right away. I was the only person staying here and felt very unsafe and it was in the middle of no where! definitely wont be staying there again in a hurry.

Fantastic location with a superb view of the hills and sea. Louis was very welcoming and provided lots of information of activities and who to contact for bike rides etc. The facilities are excellent. I totally recommend this place to stay if you are after the quiet life and enjoy long walks and cycling.

The beds were horrible. My back and neck were in so much pain when I got up every morning and when I got back home. You get very little for what you pay for. The hostel charges extra for everything except sheets and towels. 5 euros to do a load of wash thats more then I pay for Wash and Dry at home. They advertise that they are close to the beach but its at least a 15-20 minute walk. This is not a hostel its a old surfers house that extra beds were added to the rooms.
